Trying to get kids to understand non-interventionism when they've grown up with the notion that interventionism in every aspect of life by the government is always necessary is a tough sell. I think he could have answered the girls question on birth control drugs. He should have mentioned that one, the FDA, through burdensome fees and onerous waiting periods, restricts the supply of drugs, keeping prices high and creating barriers to competition which allow Big Pharma to scam the people. Second, right now, we have outright bans on several OTC drugs from other nations and with the new Obama healthcare bill will have new fees on imported prescription drugs, keeping prices high.

Ron Paul was for limited congressional terms... and he's on his what? 10th term? Paul bashed Reagan in '88 and numerous other times... now he's trying to invoke his image in various interviews. True he has some valid monetary points...but his foreign policy is naive.

Ron Paul was only one of 2 members in the entire House to break ranks and endorse Ronald Reagan in 1976 when he ran for the GOP nomination against President Ford, the Party's sitting President. That was considered real act of rebellion against the Party hierarchy at the time. In '88 he ctitiqued Reagan for running the deficit too high, which is fine.
All Ron Paul is advocating on foreign policy is a return to the Founding Fathers' for. policy. Are Washington and Jefferson "naive"?

But I disagree with you about Reagan sounding 5 times as good as Ron Paul. There is NO neocon in Ron Paul unlike Reagan who opened the door for them.
Reagan wrote the last chapter which mainstream GOP today keep wanting to live in even though it's over. They can't see anything beyond him.
But Ron Paul and his libertarianism is one step beyond Reagan.

We need a new secure voting system in which corruption cannot interfere! The votes are often fixed. I would drive four days to Texas just to make sure my vote went to this man! The candidates should visit every state and collect the votes "in hand" directly by the people with their signature on them, and be given a carbon copy ! But if you think about it, RP's policies would much reflect the people's views, so if an individual wanted to help another country, he/she would be able to, though it be a smaller scale, it gives the individual more power, and better than simply casting a vote or writing a letter the politician may disregard.

I loved Ron Paul's run for liberty and thank him for getting me interested in libertarianism.....but I am disappointed in his endorsement of Chuck Baldwin. The guy seems like a good candidate but to me he is what republicans were just before 9/11. Fiscally conservative but radically religious. Ron Paul's republican philosophy is that of many years ago to the time of Barry Goldwater. Chuck Baldwin and the Constitution party aren't socially liberal or tolerant. They believe in a Theocracy.
