@LelaPhern87 I was wrong . The Gospel of John was written approx 90 AD. That was only 60 years after Jesus was gone. It is broadly agreed by biblical scholars like Bart Ehrman (youtube - misquoting Jesus and summing it all up) that authorship of The Gospel of John should be credited to the person who composed the finished text around 90AD. Not the disciple John who was considered illiterate and most likely had died before The Gospel was written.

@LelaPhern87 There are many statements in the Bible I resonate with. For instance, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you - Be still and know I am God - The kingdom of God is within. Does this mean every statement written by every man who wrote ideas that later became the Bible is truth and inspired by God? It was also men who wrote "all scripture is inspired by God, etc." I don't know what God says of every word concept, idea in the Bible So I try to seperate what seems true & false.
@lrmswift to you i would recomend that you watch a film from lee strobel called a case for faith it opened my eyes to what god had realy meant for me in his word. i would also recomend a case for christ & a case for a creator. thay also helped me emensly to understand the bible.you can get them pretty cheap on amazon.

I have good reason to believe he is a composite person. What proves to you he is real? (I have studied 'heavenly things' for longer than you are old, so I will disagree with your assumption that I cannot understand heavenly things.) My thinking aims to get to the root of things and ascertain the facts.

Did the historians of his time make Jesus Christ up? Certainly not. Why would many historians of his time write about him if he were fictional. What about the many manuscripts dating back to his time of birth. MAybe you are confused on whats right. I testify of Jesus Christ before men because he has delivered me from such depths of despair for my entire life, and has never left me, just like he claimed he would. There are manuscripts dating back to when he was a baby. What about the historians of his time, where they writing down historical facts about a man who isnt real? Clearly he is real, and he is our savior. The father gave Jesus power over heaven and earth after he was raised. If you deny Jesus, you basically deny the father, let alone his role as savior, paying ransom for our sins.

@LelaPhern87 I was wrong . The Gospel of John was written approx 90 AD. That was only 60 years after Jesus was gone. It is broadly agreed by biblical scholars like Bart Ehrman (youtube - misquoting Jesus and summing it all up) that authorship of The Gospel of John should be credited to the person who composed the finished text around 90AD. Not the disciple John who was considered illiterate and most likely had died before The Gospel was written.

I know a ton of history proving to me that the Bible is something I will follow. But also this doesn't prove the Bible false, in fact many writings were grouped together in effort to deduce who wrote what part,you can look that up as well and come to your own conclusion but plz be one of the smart ones who looks at both sides. <3

@LelaPhern87 There are many statements in the Bible I resonate with. For instance, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you - Be still and know I am God - The kingdom of God is within. Does this mean every statement written by every man who wrote ideas that later became the Bible is truth and inspired by God? It was also men who wrote "all scripture is inspired by God, etc." I don't know what God says of every word concept, idea in the Bible So I try to seperate what seems true & false.

@lrmswift to you i would recomend that you watch a film from lee strobel called a case for faith it opened my eyes to what god had realy meant for me in his word. i would also recomend a case for christ & a case for a creator. thay also helped me emensly to understand the bible.you can get them pretty cheap on amazon.

It seems to me Oprah who has given over 300 million to charaties like the Katrina victims is searching for spiritual truth that she was not able to find in the Bible. She is open and seeking rather than believing certain teachings are the only truth. She is being blamed for being open and not blindly accepting what certain Bible writers claimed Jesus or God said or did.

I would really like to know what Jesus would say about this statement that was attributed to him by this unknown author who never heard Jesus say these words. I don't know why your talking about the secret or Tolle. Strangely enough there is no Me, You or any individuals in the world. There is only Divine Source, God, The One Self 'Appearing' as everyone.

Satan is the creation trying to become like the most high. What better way to do so than to get the world to believe we are all gods. Jesus is our tether from creator to creation. Our only way back to a personal relationship with God, within the kingdom.
