Adoro il brano da 1:26!!! <3 I love the part as of 1:26, it's the best of the entire piece of brilliancy!!! Just started to read the fortunate pilgrim. Mario Puzo was a genius.
@PhenomStaR That was the original plan - to make another sequel/prequel (Vincent's rise and fall interspersed with Sonny's childhood), but the plan fell through after Mario Puzo passed away in the late 1990s.
Offcourse the Godfather I II and III are legendary on their own and interwaved accord. But the Music, this peace for exampe, is in my opinion an intrical part of the magic and beauty that is The Godfather.
yo when I hear this song, to me it means handle your business and don't let negativity get in your way. Young Vito meant business during this piece when he handled Fannucci.
I did not read all the comments, but this song has been sampled by numerous modern-day hip-hop artists. Nas sampled this, as well as the artist Immortal Technique on his song "Golpe De Estado", as well as many others. As far as I'm concerned it's a better backdrop than 99 percent of modern hip-hop crap out there in production today.
This is one of the best works of musical art that has ever been made. it should never be degraded by being ripped off and placed in a bad song it brings a tear to my eye that people are ripping this off.
although i agree - great music is great music and me being a producer i wouldnt just sample this cause its a gangster movie - the soundtrack is so damn epic its kinda hard not to flip it and do somethin with it - sampling to me is a respect and a tribute to great music in the past - some might not think so but thats why i do it
there actually isnt much of a difference. They come from a different cultural background but most gangs come from minorities banding together to overcome the conditions they live in. take away the way they dress and talk and you got lots of similarities. "Gangstas" use music like this because figures like Vito Corleone represent their struggle of starting out at the bottom of the food chain due to their race/nationality and having to work their way up, nothing being given and having to be taken.
this song is some epic though provoking shit -- when robert de niro is about cap don fanucci. the fucking aspirations, the motivation, the greatest city in the greatest country. quality shit right here
the motivation's are based on vito's feelings for his family. And family and religion are linked whith each other at the italians more than at the other guys!
I love this piece of music. Anyone knows the lyrics? what are the choir saying?

This song is just... Beautiful. I really love the godfather's soundtrack. Thank to the one who shared it. Thank to Nino Rota too... It's so beautiful.
About the movies I think M. Pacino can be proud of his work. They are three amazing films.
