although i agree - great music is great music and me being a producer i wouldnt just sample this cause its a gangster movie - the soundtrack is so damn epic its kinda hard not to flip it and do somethin with it - sampling to me is a respect and a tribute to great music in the past - some might not think so but thats why i do it

there actually isnt much of a difference. They come from a different cultural background but most gangs come from minorities banding together to overcome the conditions they live in. take away the way they dress and talk and you got lots of similarities. "Gangstas" use music like this because figures like Vito Corleone represent their struggle of starting out at the bottom of the food chain due to their race/nationality and having to work their way up, nothing being given and having to be taken.
