That sounds great! However I have a laptop and can't use that sound card. Can you please suggest an usb sound card equal to this.Is tc electronic desktop konnekt 6 okay?
@orkancan You need a card with good latency and great s/n ratio. Any M-Audio USB cards are good as they are supported very well via the company with all necessary updates and patches however I have heard very good results with Focusrite soundcards too, they are becoming very popular. Go for a reputable company and not for a generic make, I guess TC electronic products are good but haven't got personal experience with them.
@ThrowawayFolk I do not use a pre-amp, mic connected via 48V to Spirit folio desk and then to M-audio Delta 1010 soundcard. On this track I didn't use any eq or effects as I wanted to demonstrate the capabilities of the mic. Thanks.
@xnick01295 Cubase 4, no effects, if you get a nice mic a good acoustic guitar and a medium gauge plectrum(pick), you don't need much to create a nice sound.
@DrumNBum I plugged it on an M-AUDIO 1010 PCI card, camera is a Nikon D3100 that has full HD recording facility. Audio recorded on Cubase 4 and video edited on Sony Vegas 10.
@DrumNBum You are right, the guitar is out of tune on the high frets despite the split intonated bridge. I will change it soon to a bone or ebony one that is fully compensated to correct this. I usually tune the guitar depending on the frets I play. I didn't on this video as this was a quick demo so that I sell the NT2 mic on ebay!
@DrumNBum The mic is good but I upgraded to the NT2-A that I think is better than the original NT2 with more body on the sound and better suited for classical/nylon string guitars. Also, more polar patterns so better flexibility. It doesn't look as great as the original NT2 but I guess you need to compromise sometimes.
