Ever since Dein left it's gone downhill. The board wouldn't make change to their pathetic wage offering, so players wanted out, and we were unable to bring big names in to replace them because they want more money than we offer. Then because of this, we go on a trophy drought and more players want to leave. Again, with us unable to bring in quality to replace them because nobody wants to join. If the board stay after Wenger is sacked, we'll still see the same shit with a new manager.

But as for player loyalty....remember that top athletes want rewards financially and through trophies. Its something that the minimum wage "loyal" fans that have never achieved anything in life won't ever understand.

Cesc was a unique situation in that he left Arsenal for his boyhood club, the others that left are just about money and aside from maybe Na$ri are not even missed. Wilshere and Vermaelen are arguable the best players and are out with injury, do you really want to blame the guy responsible for their success?

look where arsenal were before wenger and look now. no, we haven't won a trophy for awhile but they're close. i'm an arsenal fan through thick and thin. there's no other manager that could cope with rival clubs who spend endless amounts of money because they have no need to balance the books and still be so close to finishing above them. yes, he needs a no nonense defender and midfielder but i think he's realised it. this season should tell.
