This is the worst phone I have ever had. It is slow, crashes, charging problems, switches itself on and off when it wants. the screen isn't good. the only good thing about it is that it comes with 8gb of memory built in.

I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone. I got it on a plan 8 months ago and I'm sick of it! It constantly freezes and turns off by itself. It's very slow - it always says that I had too many applications open and wouldn't send messages or find contacts when infact no applications were open. There are better phones on the market. I will be going to buy a different phone today. Please stay away.

I got it because I wanted an affordable smartphone with a great physical keyboard and a great GPS navigation function - and that I got. As for the rest - it sucks.

I have used my n97 mini about 1year now, no big problems with it and with the new patch in it web-browsing is much more fluently. I don't recommend to buy this phone 'cause you can get nokia n8 at the same price OR some another phone. However this phone seems to be very impact-resistant and one time i dropped it in the water, nothing happened.

Do not get this phone! Crashes all the time after 4 months of owning, costs over £300 in UK and it is not worth even £100! Touchscreen is awful, You have to press the keys quite hard, overall the phone is terrible. Could only get a trade in price of £80 as no one would buy it. The iPhone is around the same price for a 3GS model, and if you are stuck on owning a iPhone 3GS or Nokia N97 Mini, get the iPhone! Much better! I might seem like a fanboy, but i am far from it. Do noy buy!

i one thing i really hate about this phone is the battery. the battery of n97 was much better. that battery is the largest nokia battery ever and lasts very long. why couldnt they just keep the battery from n97. this has 1200 and the n97 has a 1500. now thats a big difference when it comes to touchscreen phones because they use alot of battery.

you didn't tell these people about how faulty and stupid this phone is. great review. NOT! i watched this two weeks ago and went, oh nice phone, i might get one. so i did.... - my photos wont open - my memory card wont show up on it - it runs out of battery in under 4 hours - it hangs up all my phone calls right in the middle of them and there is no service when its in my pockets nokia sent me a new one, same problems guys, dont get this phone. its not worth the money.

When I text it LAGS like crazy and I have to try so many times until my picture album would open. I bought it when the phone was up in the hype so it was super expensive. ALERT: Do NOT buy this phone, it's a peace of S**t. You will end up removing the battery 2-10 times a day and the battery can run out with out any warnings (have to recharge it every night). + 10 other nice "features" that made me think about switching to my 5 year old nokia phone instead.

I would personally recommend nokia C6 or X6 compared with nokia97mini/ n97. The first point is that C6 is more practical due to its cheap price considering that the OS is similar with n97. #2 c6 has also a qwerty keyboard. #3 mega-pixel camera. and addition, c6 responds more quickly than nokia n97 when used. The web browser of c6 is proven fast.

-->Its just a sharing that Nokia C6 or X6 are similar with n97/mini, but the prices are more reasonable.

I have had this phone and its SOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW. If you wanna open the gallery to look at a photo you have to weit 13 seconds. And resistive touch screens suck. Now I have a nokia X6 and I love it. To look at a photo it takes 3 seconds <---- my experiance

@IInfamouZv Since the device is an unlocked GSM phone, it will work with any SIM card in the USA so it should do the same for you (Even though you're outside the USA). The 3G might not work on them, depending on the bands of the two carriers. So just check out the specs on Nokia's website and the bands of those carriers to find out if you'll get 3G or not.

And yes, the phone does have Wifi.

You know sometimes when you put the phone down and lock it with the slidey button on the side, does it suddenly say 'speak now' or something and a mans voice says 'no sound detected' it really pisses me off! Also the touch screen isnt as responsive as i'd like.

I have this phone and I wouldnt recommend it to nobody. After a while it becomes very slow. Mine sometimes restarts when I'm trying to use it. There are a few other problems which I can't be bothered to explain right now.

P.S. The battery life is a bismal

I just bought this phone it's great!

It's easy to write it's not slow I think it's pretty quick.

And the batery life is acually long I was busy playing with it and teksting the first time and it last more than 3 days. the camera is awesome and being on the web is easy. you won't regret buying it I promise.
