  • @Mr94RB beach boys dont even sing this song

  • @microsdcard101 Yes, but this was when Mike Love of the Beach Boys was singing with Dean Torrence as Mike and Dean.

  • lol....my grandfather's not so little but last week he did get his license suspended for a month. He was caught going 185kph in a 100 zone.lol I didn't think his Caddy still went that fast.He was saying that with the fines, victim surcharge(a sweet little tax on tickets),impound fees, towing fees and insurance rate hikes he could be out close to $4000.Not bad for a guy who just celebrated his 60th anniversary and who's going to turn 80 in a couple of months.

  • now this will be me in a fwew years LOL

  • i love this song! and the vidio that goes with it I very funny!

  • ya! ya don't mess w/ those lil ole ladies!

  • you people r dumb you dont know music

  • Surf beach party what a GAY insult to Jan and Dean, fruity disco dancers who can't sing...what CRAP...My God what a waste of Jan and Deans appearance....

  • als,je,zo,eruit,komt,te,zien,nou,komen,voor,ik,zo,uitzie,met,gezondheid,

  • All time classic!

  • This song cracks me up! Jan and Dean laughed 2 times. Once when they recorded this song and the other time when they went to the bank to collect their millions of dollars.

  • I love this era

  • The guy at the beginning looks like the butler from the Batman Tv series !

  • She needs a 1964 Polara 500 with a 426 wedge!!!!!

  • Great stuff (too often attributed to the Beach Boys by mistake!)

  • i met this little old lady..and let me tell u she was crack coked out of her elderly mine,

so i waved at her..and u kno wat she gave me the finger..and burn rubber on me

  • @pipitail Beach boys did a live version of this song.

  • Gotta love it...

  • no mopar

  • @ugslamma mopar is amazing

  • She's fast in the sack too!

  • Yep it's definitley the Beach Boys! Jan and Dean didn't sound like this! :)

  • This is fabulous footage .. this has got to be the one & only, the original Kathryn "Little Old Lady" Milner .. yes ?? If not, it's a mighty close likeness ... ; This song by J & D was a beauty. It reached #3 on the charts in Spring 1964, and was the equal-2nd-biggest, 2nd-most-successful JD single ever (along with "Jenny Lee", believe it or not .. "Surf Cty", of course, was their best-ever hit .. # 1 in Spring '63). I never get tired of listening to this great music ...

  • @colindominy Certainly looks like Kathryn Minner. She had a cameo in an episode of Batman ("Come Back Shame") that aired on The Hub last week (she's seen at a car dealership buying a hot rod - the salesman gives her some line about the car being owned by an oyster salesman who only drove it in months that had an "r" in them... She responds "I certainly hope so! I came all the way from Pasadena to buy this car!" before speeding off)

  • RIP Jan Berry.

  • This sounds more like the Beach Boys!

  • Very cool clip.

  • Finally got to meet my boyhood idols in person at a concert in Pittsburgh in 2000. Got a got a chance to go onstage and sing along for one number. What a thrill! Enjoyed talking to Dean. Real good guy. Really miss Jan. He had the classic "Beach Boy" good looks. (I'm a straight guy)

  • I remember an old lady back in college in 1985, she had a burnt orange 72 Cutlass Supreme with the sport wheels and dual exhaust, and she would blast down the road with that car!

  • in my chrous class we have one song that has like 5 songs in it and this song from the beging to 1:13 is in it

  • @Twilightfan812 Haha lucky. My choir director always makes us sing boring songs. I wish he'd let us sing cool songs like this. =D

  • This is a funny clip,I was raised in CA. in the 60's,so always loved this song! I am now a brand-new 1st time Grandma, but, we no longer live in CA, so I guess I am out of luck! Oh well! LOL!

  • this cut is a little slower then the

orgional. i liked the Beach Boys version

too. it had one extra verse

  • @oldermusiclover Righty-o! "The guys come to race her from miles around, But she'll give'em a length, then she'll shut'em down!"

  • great one!! classic good times L.A. music!

  • Dean:Say you're Jan Berry arnt ya?

Jan:Yea Dean Torrence, hey did you uh arive?

Sounds like Jan left him some place LMAO!

    Great song!

  • Or atleast thats what it sounds like to me

  • he says super stock not super sport...

  • They couldn't scrounge up SS Dodge for this segment? :(

  • A little four cyl roadster is a far cry from a factory superstock dodge.

  • @carbons4

couldent tell its so blurry and far away

  • @carbons4

    this may be true.

however, the Volkswagen Karmann Ghia with the right amount of modification's done to it, it can be made into a V8 killer.

the aircooled flat 4 engine is a great platform to make a lot of horsepower.

  • o knew a little old lady

funny, she sat around a lot four some reason

noone ever gave her a chance to drive

    funny, i know the reason

    you do, too, no?

  • kane #3487, no?

  • alright, VW's!

  • Happy surfing in the sky birthday to Jan Berry 3/4/1941~26/3/2004...hey, Granny looks like Izzie, and she was born in Pasadena, also...groovy!!!

  • fun fun fun ....

  • 'til her daddy took the t'bird away', or in this case, a KarmanGhia... hi, Thierry!!

  • Um, isn't she actually driving a VW Ghia?

  • yes, it is a VW but it was hand built by a different German coachbuilder named Karmann

  • nice song and nice video.

  • In answer to ukhounddog, my guess is that this was recorded for Jan and Dean's 1985 Silver Summer album, with Mike Love guesting on vocals.

  • I think this song is the funniest! Love when Mike Love sings it too.

  • I once saw a little old lady pull into our local Shoprite in a white, mid-90s mustang cobra convertible and this song is the first thing that popped into my head.

  • so funny!

  • Every time I hear this song it makes me think of my Gramma Betty. She has this ancient van that she drives like it's a shiny red sports car! LOL!!!

  • Rock, rock, ROCKS,LOVE IT.

  • That's deffo a Mike Love vocal. I'd be interested to know where that's from.

  • Very impressive and expressive for the lyrics in the music.

  • Fast cars and fast grannys--ya got to love em.

  • my dad has to song this when I go down to see my grandpearents! lol!

  • Used to be this older lady around here with a souped up Vette that was not afraid to let the hammer down, lol

  • ok?!
