The Cuban airfield there was to fuel revolution to other parts of the Caribbean and Central America. It was also rumored to be a base for intelligenica against the USA and the other defenseless islands nearby. Cuba had no right to enter the US sphere of influence. As a result, they were defeated and Marxism died forever in Grenada. A blessed moment in the history of US Caribbean relations. I'm looking for any former Grenadian veteran soldiers who may have answers to some of my questions in regards to that conflict. To this very day information on that conflict is still classified and has never been disclosed to the public. One of my questions is: Did Grenadian forces amass down at a beach located directly below the spice island radio station on the second evening of the conflict?

My dad used to be friends with Bishop, and Rupert Bishop was his godfather. My dad gave me insight that explains why he went down the path he did.

Unlike the other islands of the Caribbean, Grenada does not have racial prejudice. Bishop came from a highly respectable, aristocratic family and grew up with people of all races.

However, when he went to study Law in England, he received a very rude awakening that the people there considered him less then equal because he was a coloured man.
