  • @jasonshaver18 damn i use to live in those. even met a lil asian girl in ocean club lol

  • Graduated high school in 88.... this song always reminds me of a certain someone...

  • Super!!! grupo...me recuerda mi chikititud...

    "¿a dónde vas sin mi?"

  • Reminds me of being a teenager back in high school, very nice song

  • da hat DM so etwas von abkekupfert ..würde mal empfehlen "Situations" aus 1988 von Cetu Javu mit Precious aus 2009 von Depeche Mode zu vergleichen!

  • This is the Razormaid Records re-edit and NOT the original 12" mix as titled. Sorry if this has been pointed out before. The 12" mix is better IMO>

  • Great track, What drum machine was used? anyone know?

  • wow amazing new wave

  • reminds me of early mode

  • @80stimeagain You mean Depeche Mode eh ? cool !

  • @darwleg Yep. It's a good sound. ;)

  • German band within spain musicans ... GREAT mixture.

    Germans own DM ;)

  • I still play the 12" import

  • I loved this. I was 22 years old

  • @pictureisup1

I'm just 2 years older, but we come from the same generation when it comes to music. As I always tell my kids, folks my age are the lucky ones because our music was so much better.

  • Uoh, uoh, wonderful 12" version. I didn´t know it and I adored it.

  • This song brings back awesome memories of the Saturday nights in the old "Goth Room" in the back of the legendary "Barbarella" club in Orlando, Florida. Now called "Independent Bar". Those were great times!!

  • 2 people missed the like buttom!

  • This is a timeless song that em body's how great the 80's were!!!!

  • I bought this on Vinyl. Cost me a LOT! Now it's on a CD-single and I got that. Is this band still together? I know some 80s groups still perform. Am I hoping too much?

  • @robotypist Unlikely unfortunately : ( The members have families now and the leas singer works as a professor at a university in Prague or somewhere. We can still hope though!

  • Wow one week ago at least you answered the question. Cetu Javu was one of those great bands that should have gone alot farther in 80's industrial than they did. Just like several hundred of bands. The only difference is Cetu Javu created a lot of amazing club songs

  • bad ass; was in the air force at carswell afb in ft. worth; used to kick it at club clearview in dallas; used to hop planes and go to club numbers ; lo9ve tejas

  • bad ass: all the tdi stuff: Was in the air force and used to kick it in deep element, and at club numbers, the record rack, and love texas

  • picked up this single (with B-side "quien lo sabia?") at my local record store for $1.99. Win!

  • Those of you looking for this song on vinyl or CD - it took me FOREVER to find both! Keep looking! Put a WANTED on Craig's List.

One of my favorite tunes from the 80s. Why can't New Wave make a comeback?

  • @robotypist "Why can't New Wave make a comeback?"

It has my friend, it has.In a modern 21st century sound known simply as "synth-pop".By the late 1990s and the begining of the 2000 years, here in southern Ca,Industrial-gothic night clubs are the only clubs that have been playing synth-pop music usually in the back or 2nd danceroom.Bands like "Wolfsheim"(from Germany, think of Pet Shop Boys & The Smiths put together .) and "De/Vision","Fictional","LadyTron",etc...

  • @TheXtro101 Thanks - I will look for those bands -- I live in L.A. -- name someclubs where I find electronica, techno, trance and new wave music. I'll be first in line!

  • It's on a Razormaid compilation disc from the late 80's.Lots of new beat bands on there. Umo Dectic and lots more. Have it somewhere. I used to dance to this at Level V, Industry, Metronome and DV8 in Dallas. Great song from a great time.

  • I can't seem to find this mix anywhere. I love this version the most, can anyone help me out?

  • Has anyone found the song Don't Leave by Cetu Javu on Youtube? I thought it was here, but I can't find it...

  • Love this tune!

  • Kenny Vincent's Southside 1988 Metairie, Louisiana

  • From which country/city was this band from ??

I bought a Promo Tape in 1991 at a Depeche Party in Berlin. Unforgotten time..

  • This band was from Hanover, Germany.

  • @sfsindee They come from Spain.

  • @Goran1971 The lead singer was from Spain. But the band originates from Germany. Just check wikipedia all the info on the band is there.

  • @Goran1971 I thought they were German, but they definitely sang several of their songs in Spanish. Check it out.

  • @SaschaDuda The band is German, the lead singer is Spanish though. They're originally from Germany with a Spaniard for a lead singer. :)

  • @MaliBootyz True but they were pretty big in Spain and Latin America at their peak.

  • Necesito la letra - I need the lyrics - Ich brauche die Songtexte

  • I am so happy to hear the music that I used to dance my ass off to in Dallas, TX, the Stark Club circa 1989 to 1992. Razormaid versions of good club songs are a mixed bag. Sometimes great, sometimes "what the crap happened in the final production?"

  • Dude, i think my father was the DJ for that place, ill have to ask him.

  • Too cool. I'm sitting here looking at my copy too. It's great to see more of them out there.

    Hugs

    Todd

  • It's a faded version of the Razormaid Remix. It was released on the compilation "The Very Best of Razormaid Vol. 5"...

  • Long live the 80's!

  • This song is brillant. I was so pleased to get a copy of Soutern Lands a while back. Situations is their best song by far. I love the intro, the harmony is so lovely and the Melody. It's the kind of song that sends shivers down my spine, like Q Lazarus, they are a good band with there song 'Goodbye Horses, used in Silence of the Lambs. Lovely. :-)

  • Que tema partusero che! que recuerdos de cuando era pendejo... je. Saludos

  • pongan el tema "tierras sureñas" setu javu muy bueno

  • We get together, nothing matters, situations like these I never want to miss!

  • The lyrics to this song completely express how I feel inside!

  • Thanks for adding this. We had a 80s theme party and I used a ton of music from youtube. This resource totally rocks, plus brings back so many great memories.

  • HASSAN BY FATIMA GREAT SONG

  • Looking for a late eighties early nineties song, female singer, sounds like she was singing "Hassan" for the chorus...please help!

  • can u give me a little more? i have ALL the eighties top 100 from 80-90

  • OK this is a total shot in the dark but anyone who likes this song might be able to help. I am a big fan of 80's first wave and I have on an old mix tape a song that repeats: You are the fallen angel, You are the fallen angel, you are the fallen angel where ever you are, (not sure of the next phrase but sounds like- minute to minute living in exile). Any 80's fans out there have any clues for me? I have been desparate to ID this for years. It has a dance beat, male voice- probably Euro. Have MP3

  • 106.7 KRoq Los Angeles Ca, 1988

  • One of my favorite tracks of all time... thanks for the upload!

  • finally someone put it up! sweeeet

  • Where can I locate this 12" mix? The album itself doesn't have it. Anyone?

  • The album cover showing is a 12 inch. I have it in a milk crate somewhere.

  • i have 2 other remixes

  • Los amantes del techno-pop están orgullosos de este single. Aupa los 80´s DM, Elegant machinery, ...

  • Love it!!!!

  • I love this track by Cetu Javu (Are they from Spain or Germany.I tought they were german but sang in german, english as well as spanish.Maybe Im wrong.

  • Its a German band but their lead singer's a Spaniard.

  • great band, great track. My fav track is "Help me now!", which is on a quite rare 12". Comes along with B-Side-floorfiller "Por Favor".

  • I love "Get it" from Cetu Javu. Could somebody upload the song, please????

By the way, thanks for "Situations" - another good song.

  • 1st I heard the song was on Live 105 in SF. Clubs: One Step Beyond in Santa Clara (AMAZING scene!), and The Vortex in Palo Alto CA. Still one of my favorite club tracks. I wouldnt be surprised if they influenced Music For The Masses with it ; )

  • this whole album is aweet its a spanish group . bad ass

  • The first time i heard this song was on Music Choice's Retro-Active. I stopped what i was doing and just sat there...amazed. love this song!

  • I liked this song because it sounded like Depeche Mode stuff.

  • when i first heard this, i thought it was depeche mode.

  • GREAT!!!!

  • great

  • I love this song and many thanks for uploading it. I prefer another version of this song, still by Cetu Javu but i think it could be a radio edit or something. Its around 4 minutes long and starts much faster and the singing starts much sooner while this one builds up more.

  • Nich schlecht der Song ! ...gefällt mir :O)

    Gruß aus Gossa: Sturmi 242

  • NEW ROMANTIC,,QUE TAL CANCION.

    PERU

  • great song!!! thanks

  • THank you for posting this song. One of my favorites from the 80s, and nobody I know has heard of it...

  • wow desde hace años estoy enamorado de esta cancion!!!!!

  • Oh Jesus, this reminds me of driving to parties in Azusa and West Covina in 1988-1990 with my friend, Jim Duval. Smoking cloves and wearing leather. The 80's was some good shit, man.

  • Thank you, sfsindee, for adding this synthpop masterpiece! It was, IMHO, Cetu Javu's best song. I remember a small independent radio station in Chicago playing it in 1989/90.

The rest of the album (Southern Lands) was great, too. Anyone who like this will like "Have In Mind", Cetu Javu's ode to saving the environment.

  • austinpowers69...the radio station was called WLUW high energy radio. The best and only radio station in that era that played this type of music.

  • I don't know if you have ever been to Orlando, FL but there used to be a club there called Barbarella (now it's called Independent Bar) but they play this kind of music there on Saturdays and Sundays (80's Pop, Goth, Industrial) whenever I hear this song I think of that club

  • Heh, the reason I looked up this video because I heard it on one of the new 80's nights that popped up around the Orlando area.

At I-Bar, the Sunday night format was actually going to change to indie music, but it looks like they changed their minds and are keeping the 80's stuff after all.

  • Yeah I had never heard this song until I lived to Orlando. Every time I hear this song my heart melts because it reminds me of how much I miss Orlando & Barbarella (which is now called Independent Bar)

  • classic
