wanan know what made man this way crazy murderes etc.. the industiral revolution think about it chemicals not made by nature polutions.. money greed.. it all starts there.. you dont see this in medival times
@AdrenalineDye how was he a faggot? it was seen as good medical practice at the time.... yea sure it looks horrible looking back on it now, but thats because the field has grown since... if it wasnt for him we wouldnt be where we are today! In 50 years time the same thing could possibly happen, people will look back and be thinking how on earth could todays practices be seen as beneficial... You have hindsight, dont go shooting your mouth off before looking at the bigger picture next time
The music in this clip is more insulting than entertaining. It reinforces the cliches or stereotype that the mentally ill are insane scary people. We need to reevaluate our perspectives on these people. This isn't some scary movie this is real life and it happened to real people.
See, i can understand doing a lobotamy if the patient asks or agrees to it and theres just no other way. But forcing a patient into this (like most known lobotomies) is just sick. who are you to judge if someone needs part of their brain cut out? Lets take your logic and turn it on you, i think your the sick one and you need your brain cut out. (obviously hes not still alive but this goes for all lobotomists who think its right) NO ONE should have the right to make that judgment call. Its sick
..while feeling groggy and a slight thobbing sensation in my head I was sent out to the playground and I remember feeling different just looking down at the rocks like my head was scrambled..its kinda hard to describe..later that night I was in the car with my mother and she asked me if I fell on the playground as she wiped a little blood from my nose..I didnt say anything..I couldnt even begin..and then I had just forgetton about it for sometime.
@Nosaj23x You should try to find out what really happened to you that day, by ordering them to give you your documentation (they have to, even if they dont want to) I doubt that it was a lobotomy though, that is a different technique of operation, at least from what you describe, and lobotomies became pretty rare after 1960 roughly since they started to have medications that where effective. It would also be strange that your mother wouldnt know, since your parrents have to agree to this
then I remember seeing red as if i were looking up at the sun with my eyes closed. and then feeling a slight sharp pain in the front head region. also at some point I remembered that I had opend my eyes and noticed that there was someone else also in the room behind her..it was a man with glasses.. and he had said somthing about me remebering this. next thing i know I wake up on a cot with all the shades now up and the blue sky and sun filling the room
It happend to me when I was 6 in elementry school in the nurses office...except I dont think it was an ice pick..it was a different instrument that they went in with through the top right of my nose in between my eyes. now im 26 and I notice a slight flattened effect mostly in the left side of the forhead. All I remember is the nurse offering me candy and then my face went numb..shortly later I remember her saying "dont worry I wont do it in the middle I wouldnt do that to you "
This guy is a prick and not even remotely funny. And he is not as smart as he thinks he is.Fuck the people who directed and made this video. Its disrespectful.Freeman is burning on a stake in hell right now,and so will this fake-ass British sarcarstic motherfucker one day. With ten inches of ice pick shoved up his ass and his eyes.Just the ironic, forced british voice of this asshole makes me want to puke.
@marciopasiotto I read the previous comments and I'm like what's wrong with you guys ?? ........Because I actually like the way the reporter present the story ....the way I see it, it makes the whole story even more dramatic and appaling ! Beside nobody talked about Freeman's son (at 8:00) laugthing after telling the story of a woman who was left paralysed by his father !
can't believe the tone of this video. people are alive today who suffered ice pick lobotomies and live with the consequences every day. fucking prick.
The reporter seems to be having a great time, with his sarcastic smirk and that fake british accent. What's the matter?you are telling the story of people who suffered, with these witty comments and this sarcarstic smirk?I guess it's because you never had any parent who suffered through this. Terrible reporter who can't get a hold of himself.Hope to never see you again, motherfucker.
@marciopasiotto yeah it's ridiculous. you wouldn' t get ironic jauntry 50s music in a documentary about the holocaust or something. that thousands of lobotomies have taken place is a humanitarian atrocity and shouldn't be made light of by this public school prick.
This is the kind of 50's medicine that scares me on a level I cannot really understand. Absolutely horrifying to think someone has the control to totally change your thought process and personality forever.
i dont see why people are dogging on him. way worse has happen way before this and hell we still do fucked up shit now :/

@mateyboy07 I agree. This "public school prick" really gets on my nerves. He makes so light of the subject he's suppose to be documenting.
