I worship Arthur Rankin for this. He knew what a real christmas special was, unlike today's specials, where there are no misfits. In today's specials, you can be a grey man in a world of red people and still be accepted... What does this teach children, in life you will NEVER be made fun of for being different. This is a song that always gave me hope since I was a kid back when this Christmas special aired back in 1964. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer had allot of morality and a message that we should respect one and other. I always believed in this song that one day, I too, will be happy with my true Love! I confess still today, in my late 40's, I still watch it every Christmas when I get a chance too at Christmas time. It's timeless!
