Is it me, or is just something else, but now a days, most fighting games are copying elements from Guilty Gear and Blazblue, which focuses on story telling along with the fighting game, and also i'm somehow jin kisaragi, the guy i hate in another video game with a name Patroklos and his "hakumen" is also here. For all the years i played Soul Calibur games (in the arcade and on consoles) NO ONE ever beat me when i played as Nightmare [before some one asks i played Siegfried in Soul Edge but quit him for Nightmare in later games ^^]

the presentation of the story mode is great. the voice acting job is pretty decent.

the story just plain sucks. patrokolos, main character, is like a dante wannabe but in a dickish and lame way. pyrrha is that annoyin insecure & submissive as hell chick who actually fights. both protaganists suck ass.

@MikeArcade07 i don't really like Patroklos that much, he reminds me too much of Jin Kisaragi, heck, his entirely plot is similar to jin kisaragi, except he is not crazy, evil, gay, but still a douche and have perfectly good reason to hate and distrust the malfested. Still he is similar to jin, like a lot, first his weapon, its a single hand sword and shield but later he gets an icy sword (Soul Calibur-Yukianesa) and his alternate future self or is it proper future self uses iaido sword form

@MikeArcade07 well, he has a future self, who has a different moveset than regular version of him, he uses an icy sword, sibling plot, iaido, he represents order (Soul Calibur) while his sibling represents rebellion, acts like a douchebag (though unlike jin he has a perfect reason for it, he served the supposed main bad guy of the story until he realized they were using him, and etc yeah, you don't see jin, and if i add some stuff from the hakumen side, this guy is totally jin

Though I don't see Pyrrah as a rebellion character, if anything she's like Dizzy from GG and Noel Vermillion. Now the similarites to those characters and Pyrrah are just as familiar as your Jin/Patroklos pointer, I saw that similarity but not this one. :p

Shows how much you actually know the series since IV, III, II, and I don't have actual story modes. Oh there were modes with A story, but they didn't have any importance to the main game. The last time it was character specific was Soul Blade/Edge.

I'm not happy with the story mode. It was great and all but it basically shunted the casted for two people. It was like Tekken 6 but at least in that the other characters had ending. The other fighters in this have nothing, not even stories unless you bought the collectors edition.
