Original US made L series basses are getting harder to find and more expensive in the secondary market place . These guitars and basses were very popular in the 1980's - sadly , the new Gibson made Steinberger products are nowhere near the quality of there early predecessors in my opinion.
WOW.... watching this series has made me really appreciate Ned and the Steinbergers guitars even more. I would love to have both the GT Deluxe and Standard. Thanks for the posts.
Too bad Gibson is running the Steinberger name into the ground. The new guitars are shit. I have a 1990's Hohner g3t thats a pretty sweet licensed copy. Someone needs to make the Trans Trem again though. It's probably the last best guitar innovation.
I just can't believe it! The Best and most innovative Guitars and Basses in the World, forgotten! Thanks a lot for posting! Funny, I am in Boston and the video was too! ha...thanks man!
Now the problem is that bloated hick Ed Roman, who is one of the few sources of Newburgh Steinbergers. I was quoted around US$6000 for a P-Series with transtrem. A P-Series!!! They were the affordable ones.
This was a really cool show. Thanks to Ned Steinberger for working so hard and creating such a great product. I feel like I want to support his business now, so I'm going to go out and buy me a Synapse. :)
Wow, Im really glad I watched this as what Ned Steinberger had to go through to put these instruments out there was very worrying for any person! Only putting out 6 basses a week but they kept going and going and had to go through so many risks it must of been nerve wrecking for them all! Status basses are nothing but a frigging rip off of Steinbergers and I will never buy any othr headless bass now knowing what he had to go through!
