The rule on auditors in civil law countries is to put thresholds vs number of auditors needed, according to the sums channelled through Client Companies. How cld a 50bln USD business be monitored by a single auditor? And how wold someone like HSBC or Generali or any given investor cld take such a singlehanded report with loopholes seriously? Th only answer that's close to reality is that they play the financial industry like an old boys' club - word of mouth is enough for the "insiders"...

My ex-husband was jewish. His entire family was always pulling "insurance scams" and doing things like falling down in stores, pretending to find broken glass in their food at restaurants. It was embarrassing to go anywhere with any of his relatives as there was always somebody doing the aforementioned or just bragging about how much they were screwing XYZ company for.
