It's sad to know what North Korean civilians are missing out on. :(
From what I've heard all they really know and learn is "KIM JONG-IL, KIM JONG-IL, etc." It's sad. They are still living in the past it seems. I've watched the videos.
Sad to see such beautiful people being blind-sighted by such an ugly man.
Even the UN calls it propoganda village. the north koreans call it peace village. the tower that you saw was the world's largest flagpole tower. only the military personnel live there. some of the lights go on at night, but it's said that the same ones goes on all the time, which is pretty much proof that this village is total BS.
@skateboarding118 Yeahh. I read somewhere that the flagpole was made to be the larest/tallest because no other flag should fly higher than North Korea's own... At least, that's what they supposedly teach the people there. But they don't know any better. They are shut in like Cuba used to seem.... You know... Cuba looks a lot better than I thought it did. Seriously. Even a lot better than some North Korean locations. =/
You can hear the interference on the audio on that video. Probably interference from the signal towers the NK government set up to block signals from the South.
Yea I remember it's call Propaganda Village. That tall tower there is a signal tower from North Korea in which it blocks all signals outside of North Korea. Sad.Very sad. And to make it all worse their govt. is trying to hit us , and almost Japan.
I've been to the DMZ it was part of a study tour with Project Bridge as a Youth Ambassador. It just makes me realize how lucky some are fortunate and some aren't and we take things for granted. I can feel the tension there between them esp. being in the neutral buildings made by the govt. and the UNited nations being at the border, I hope they will be ONE.
They aren't gonna be one country anytime soon--see, South Korea doesn't want a fiasco on their hands like Germany's reunification. The reunification stuff is just hype and propaganda in and of itself.

If you steal that flag, the South Koreans will give you $500k.

I noticed that North Koreans seem to like wide open spaces with nothing. No trees. No buildings just land.
