hi i'm selling a roland jupiter 8 on ebay right now 6/20/09
only 2,000 ever made !that is a bad ass setup you got their im still rocking the roland stage kit for my electronic kit but i want some v drums! have a good day
cool video...i got that kit to...but a cheap crap doublebass pedal...when i wanna play fast, it's realy hard...it feels like hitting a wall..and not like a drumskin, like on a normal drumset...can you give some tips?
I really like what your doing. Rythm is in my blood to. I am just getting started with electronic drums and I would like to know if you can give me some tips on the best way how to hook up my pc to my Roland TD20. Is it head phone jack out to stereo RCA or would it be best to use the 1/4 inch jacks.
hi,.when u say that the audio is going directly out from the td12 to your camera ::: do u mean that u have a mic input on your camcorder which uve plugged ur drum module into ? or u have an audio line input in ur camera ? or neither and i got u all wrong :)
I guess I'm more of a minimalist. I like to keep my studio lean and mean. I like working with one keyboard at the most two and try to do it all with the on board sequencer. Just fewer cords to deal with and fewer things to turn on.
It really does, I'd probably trip over all those cords! I'm working on a track right now where I'm triggering everything in the Trinity, there will be NO MIXING. I won't even have to bounce tracks when I make the .wav file. The next track I'm going to do the same thing in the Roland Fantom!
Cheers Ralph. Analog synths and sequencers are my number one musical passion. I have plans to build a really big analog sequencer soon (I have the parts and have worked out the design). Then I can control all the V Drums inputs AND all my synths at once! THAT will be fun!! :-D

You might want to look at the KD120 or the KD85. They are both mesh kicks :)

Hi Rick,
Congrats on the TD20, they are awesome modules, especially with the TDW expansion card. If you haven't expanded yours yet, it is well worth it :)
In regards to which output to use, I'd recommend using the main outputs rather than the headphone out, although either will work.
If your PC has a digital (S/Pdif) input, you can run the TD20 digital out into that for better quality.
Cheers,
Dannii.

Fair call Ilinsar. At the end of the day, you have to do what works best for you.
I'm most at home in a room that looks like the cockpit of the space shuttle!!! :D
