John and Paul truly loved eachother. Nowadays when Paul is being interviewed, he says at least one thing about how he loves John and how beautiful he was and everything. The look in his eyes when he talks about John is something that can only be described as love. I truly believe they were in love, and maybe didn't realize it.

I totally agree with hpfangirl14. You CAN be in love with someone & not have it be a sexual relationship; it's just about having such an intense bond that surpasses "mere" friendship or even "best friends". This is what these two had. Their friendship was otherwordly & unique, and even if they WERE really gay, SO WHAT??? The point is, they loved each other, in WHATEVER capacity.
