Excellent work. Timing is slightly dodgy in a couple places, but I couldn't play that fuckin shit! hehe. Notice you do the same thing as Tomas where you ghost 16th notes with your hands while accenting where the beats actually are. Do you find this makes it easier to play such fucked up polymetric rhythms in Meshuggah tunes? Respect! Nice one!

I could get really nit picky, but that would be me just being a dick. As I haven't attempted to play any of Meshuggah's songs. Haake's beats are amazing, and you did a grand job sir. My advise to you, would be to play in flatter shoes or even barefoot, you'll get a better feel for the pedal. 10 out of 10 though man!

Therefore, Bleed might be easier (with the exception of the more polyrhythmically challenging riffs such as a the 5-5-3-1-3 [27/8] one) for the majority of metal drummers with no previous Meshuggah experience. Judging from the fact that is debate is taking place in the comments section of a meshuggah cover video, I would assume that you are both drummers with heavy (or some level) of polyrhythmic experience, therefore TMLWYB seems a lot easier than it is to others.

Well actually it all depends on one's drumming style and experience. The reason Bleed took longer than all the other songs (for Haake) is because the other songs are all rhythmically challenging and polyrhythmic/polymetric as balls. That's Haake's style and therefore he's used to it and good at it. Most typical metal drummers are just really fast and endurant at extreme double-bass speeds, but never tried insane polyrhythms like those in TMLWYB.

awesome dude, one of ma fave songs, when mixing your stuff, try to compress each channel a bit to make it pounding and throw in lets say a "roomworks" on the whole track, makes a crazy difference.... btw Ive have played on haake´s "chaosphere" kit, the best sounding kit Ive ever put ma hands on : PPP

This song is harder than Bleed, at least from a rhythmic standpoint; the only Bleed riff that's really difficult because of it's polyrhythmic nature is the fourth one (starts at about 2:30). I can cover the whole song on guitar, but I understand the drumming just as well so I know what I'm talking about.
