  • I was half expecting smoke to start erupting from the piano!

  • this can't be recorded in 1954!? cus he wouldbe age 66 then, but does he look like 66 years old here???

  • @serue you must mistake with his father, the great Heinrich Neuhaus. The scherzo is played by his son, himself piano teacher

  • Veramente un' Artista,

ha un' energia piena di leggierezza e passione!

    proprio il mio tipo.....

    peccato sia morto!

  • This is so beautiful. Such an honest musician, I just LOVE his tone color. Delicate and balanced, but at the same time so emotional and full of life.

  • Heinrich Neuhaus compared once playing piano of Richter and his own son Stanislaw: 'It's so different! Slava always swings intensively; Stanislaw, on the contrary, sits calmly, like most of the old pianists. No manner is better or worse that the other one; both are consequences of different natures'

  • Such an intense performance! Thanks for uploading this treasure.

  • wow, great interpretation !

  • MEU DEUS !!!!

  • The greatest preformance...I love it so much.

why did his father heinrich never mentioned about his son?

Maybe because father Neuhaus was divorced with his wife, mother of Stanislav..And the last was grown in the family of his mother with Boris Pasternak, the famous poet..

  • but Heinrich and Stanislav often played together 4 hands pieces and Stanislav was Heinrich's assistant when the father teached at the conservatoire

  • The first reason of the fact that Heinrich evaluated his second son so late, was that he wanted his second child to be a girl, but his wife gave birth to another son, not daughter...

  • great sound ,finger work, and touch =superb pianist!

the best version of this scherzo

  • I love this performance!

  • why did his father heinrich never mentioned about his son? stanislaus had bad luck to be the son of heinrich. i would be proud having such a son! i have met stanislaus neuhaus in vienna with my professor bruno seidlhofer who had been a closed friend to heinrich neuhaus. stanislaus neuhaus had been a real sir and a wonderful pianist!

  • What a pianist!

  • The BEST interpretation I've heard...Amazing what...Amazing..

  • 本当に、音楽が音楽になっています。素晴らしいです!

  • Absolutely fantastic!

  • Sofronistky said when listened to that: "Well done, Stasik! I never could play this Scherzo like that! "
