alright thanks i'll give it a shot but out of curiosity, since you said you never really go over any formal training or drills or exercises, do you know much on music theory? or stuff like scales, chords ect ect and how some notes work together with others and whatnot? it just seems like if you played pured music all the time and never do any sort of formal training or drills itd be hard to be able to make something up on your own or have much knowledge on music theory.

well theres a few pieces ive tried playing. I once tried playing the beginning of the "rising force" solo by ygnwie malmsteen but i no matter how hard i tried i just couldnt get the right sound from it. It sounded very sloppy, very slow, and didnt even remotely resembled what it sounds like in the song. There was another piece called "Eugenes Trick Bag" By Steve Vai but that wasnt that hard to get down, its just a few arpeggios and thats it.
