The problem for Obama has been an obstructive congress involving Republicans and some some Democrats who think it's more important to appeal to lobbyists and serve their own interests rather than serve in the interest of voters, even if it means taking a political hit against their own popularity. I think he is a great man who has a lot of good ideas that nobody wants to pay attention to because he is too radical, when really his is looking out for everyday people.
McCain = no gumption, no intellectual foresight, defense minded, economically unwise, stubborn on future foreign policy, lacking of depth and breadth, status-quo policy.

McCain is a Republican and did back up his political regime but a lot of Democrats backed up Bush as well on more issues than they care to publicize. Due to George and John being friends, the opposing campaign utilizes it as a weapon and tries to correlate their policies when voting records have proven this to be untrue. Except for the war and over 130 abstains while in the Senate, Obama has back up Bushs policies on many occasions. The proof is on record so its not debatable.
Back in 2006 there was a bill to put caps on mortgage loans, regulations on Wall Street and back off politicians who are buy their way in to these conglomerates with their title by bribing these companies with their support in the House and Senate. McCain fought hard for this to be passed and Obama fought against it. This would have prevented the current economic crisis.
Why did Obama vote against it? Hes the second highest recipient of Freddie Mac and Fannie may, as well as, his biggest supporters being Citibank, JPMorgan and Chase. This is why Obama supported the Rescue Plan when the tax payers were going to have to pay, because financially, he makes money. Now tell me who you think identifies closer to the Bush administration.

@animaniacsrule There are several other factors as to why Barack Obama won. Obama remained calm for the most part throughout the election while McCain was having a really hard time. The fact that McCain chose Sarah Palin as a VP didn't really help at all, due to her reputation and the sudden decision made by McCain. If McCain did not choose Sarah Palin he MIGHT have stood a better chance, despite that fact that victory was practically assured anyway.

You have a strong argument, however, being too critical of the presidents themselves is inaccurate. It's the administration, which during George W.'s term consisted predominantly of Democrats. I am a Democrat so I feel that my outlook on this particular subject is objective. Remember this, the only thing embarrassing is that We the People allowed our perfect union to morph into political conglomerates. The injustice in our system is the complaceny of the United States Citizens.

McCain is a Republican and did back up his political regime but a lot of Democrats backed up Bush as well on more issues than they care to publicize. Due to George and John being friends, the opposing campaign utilizes it as a weapon and tries to correlate their policies when voting records have proven this to be untrue. Except for the war and over 130 abstains while in the Senate, Obama has back up Bushs policies on many occasions. The proof is on record so its not debatable.

Back in 2006 there was a bill to put caps on mortgage loans, regulations on Wall Street and back off politicians who are buy their way in to these conglomerates with their title by bribing these companies with their support in the House and Senate. McCain fought hard for this to be passed and Obama fought against it. This would have prevented the current economic crisis.

Why did Obama vote against it? Hes the second highest recipient of Freddie Mac and Fannie may, as well as, his biggest supporters being Citibank, JPMorgan and Chase. This is why Obama supported the Rescue Plan when the tax payers were going to have to pay, because financially, he makes money. Now tell me who you think identifies closer to the Bush administration.

mccain is offering -60%- of all taxpayers -less than- a one-percent decrease.
then see how much obama is offering.
if anyone 'won't notice,' it's those under mccain's plan.

In a very basic sense, republicans originally stood for less government intervention. That's why what's happening with banks right now should be seen as a real challenge to how far you can take that ideology. The economy washes around in cycles of too much intervention, then too little, then too much. Right now the last thing we need is no oversight. If I'm at a cafe, I should hear folks chatting about this, not chatting about Lindsay Lohan. Long live the United States of Television.
