I just bought an 1893/97 IAC reproduction at a gunshow. The action isn't nearly as smooth as my original 1897 and it doesn't feed rounds reliably when you don't rack the action hard, or when you drop the round through the ejection port. It's still a very nice gun though, in my opinion. I like it a lot. Nice video, love this shotgun design.
Have enjoyed watching the biuld up of your 1897. I plan on getting one. I am holding out for a takedown like yours. FYI Watch Jesse Abbate on utoob, she does some amazingly fast re-loads with an 1897.

Hey you should make a video of you slam firing it. As I believe it is one of the shotguns you can do it with.
