  • I met Jim in 1984 at O'Callahans bar. Seemed like a nice guy.

The D.J. or someone mentioned him, and I was one of the few who knew who he was.

The DJ guy said "Yes folks, this is a real star" or something like that...and I recall being the only 1 to talk to him.

I am sure he wished he had become a bigger star...but I am sure he has very well overall life considered!

Thanks for this song I still love Jim!

  • thumbs up if you liked this Jim Photoglo - Fool In Love With You

  • Memories! Listen to this song...then listen to the Theme from the NBC show "Family Ties". Creepy! :)

  • I love this version of the song. Awesome!!! I remember the tune back in the early 80s. Smooth and simple.

  • just listen to this in family guy ;)

    awesome .

  • Absolutely awesome song by Jim !!

    The 80's RULE !!

  • thanks for posting this old song, many years of being looking for it!

    yeahhh!!!

  • This sounds like a re-recorded song, circa 1989-91. Not that it's a bad thing, but the original from 1981 still, holds up best.

  • not really a remix but a record. the vocals are different as well as the music. still nice tho. wish i could find the cd of this. still have the vinyl of it tho.

  • @DIRTYBOY33460

Very good ears, dude. And you're correct, it ain't the original. I know because I wrote the song with Jim and I produced it. Since you can't find a CD of it, I'll email you an MP3 of the correct mix if you want. Let me know. My current website is bneary.com

  • thanks

  • me gusta :) :P :O ^ ^ O.o

    jajaja :D

  • Wondering if Jim Photoglo can be considered Yacht Rock, along with Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, Robbie Dupree and Michael McDonald.

  • @Synesthete1978 i'd think so, same period and smooth sound.

  • djthalie - Do you know how I can acquire the original of this? Can't seem to find it anywhere!

    This version is a remix....

  • Gracias, mi esposo y yo adoramos esta canción, la hemos buscado por mucho tiempo.

  • Ésto sí es estilo!

  • Very good song but unfortunately the 4king person who re-made the visuals was a 4king prick4.

  • Nice video montage there, but you do realize that this is not the original version of the song, right? This is a re-recording.

  • yeah the original is the one with the music video where he's in the cafe.

  • Love it! More of Jim Photoglo please!

  • Great bass player singer and song writer...was great with Dan Fogelberg as well.

  • 5* love the lyrics typical men when they have you they do not want you, when they lose you they are ................

  • Good or bad, this is a piece of musical history. Thanks for documenting it for the archive.

  • I remember seeing JP perfroming this on Solid Gold back in the day. I was maybe in the 5th or 6th grade at the time and with all the puppy love feelings inside my head, this was little ditty I'd sing to myself riding on the bus to and from school.

  • glad you came by to let me know this.

    cheers!

  • Its better than the shit out there today

  • You are so right!!! Ninety percent of todays music is pure crap because its either hip hop trash or Rock retreads. I blame the music industry for dulling our kids ears with no-talented singers like Hanna Montana ( at least our Buggle-gum singers like Donny Osmond and David Cassidy could sing!) and Kanye West who can't carry a real musical note. To bad today's generation will not have great music to lean on in the futere.

  • No comment. I take the fifth because I do not know who this fool is in love with. ROFl, LMAO, RRRLMAO, RRRRRRLMAO! ♥♥♥

  • Hi DJ... Never heard of this guy but the Video was cool!!

  • Excellent!!! The photography in this vid is just awesome!!! I love it!!! Great song too!

  • Nice work! I love Jim Photoglo! Could you set another fave of mine? It's "Biggest Part Of Me" by Ambrosia. There is a great remastered version on the essential cd. Keep it up!

  • This was an EXCELLENT video. Plus, I am very partial to the song. Ahhh...the classics; ya can't change the feeling from a hit. THANKS FOR THE MEMORY!!!!!

  • Do you also have Jim Photoglo's 1980 minor Top 40 single "We Were Meant to be Lovers"? If so you should put it on here.

  • poof! done :)

check my page for the posting...
