Wow, sour grapes....just send it back. We have had all versions, from the first to now and ALWAYS been pleased. Yes, we do have another litterbox next to it, so they have a choice, but we also have multiple cats. We find ours to be efficient, clean, NOT SMELLY and the BEST LITTER BOX around. So with that, nothing is purrfect and obviously not for you. WE LOVE OUR LITTER ROBOT
by the way, our cat would NOT go in the globe for 3 days. then, after I threw out her old box, she finally went in....ONE TIME! After that first use, she started crapping on the floor, and would not go back in. It is just too small for an average sized cat, especially with the befouled interior, as per my other message...
also, if you don't empty the waste bucket in time, the globe rotates right through it -- I'm sure the resulting skid marks make a fun clean-up project!
as you know, the poop and urine litter clumps are rotated ALL THE WAY around the INSIDE WALLS of the globe, until they fall out the waste doors.
this means, your cat's head, shoulders, tail, etc. are going to TOUCH the waste that is left caked on the inside walls of the globe. that is not only unsanitary for the cat, but also for the people in the home.
there are other issues, but that is a deal killer!
n4ktz obviously works for, or is associated with, the Litter Robot company. It is a unit that is expensive and wrought with problems.
Look at how the cat has to stick his head out of the box to fit. It gives an idea of just how small the usable space is.
And why do they have 'refurbished' units? Because the return rate is so high. This is a bad design and after only a brief troll around the internet, you can see why.
They have refurbished cause they have updated the models over the years and yes I would think some come back. Nothing is purrfect but we like ours and had a litter robot for years....it is a real workhorse and easy, easy, easy using regular garbage bags and ONLY has to be cleaned every other day or so. With that, all I can Say is WE LIKE OURS
@thorholly I have had mine for about a month now, and while you say "wrought with problems" I simply don't see it... I have had no problems, and mayby, JUST maybe if you were speaking from personal experience rather than parroting rumor you read about, you would have a little more credibility.
I wish they weren't so expensive. As a blind cat owner I hate scooping, even though I've become reasonably good at making sure I don't miss anything or drop too much on the floor. But being unemployed at the moment I can't just plop down 300 or whatnot on one of these things. And even the payment plan would be a bit tricky. I also live in a pretty small studio apartment with a cat who's at least sixteen pounds. Not so much fat as just plain big. He might be too big to fit in the thing.
thank you soo much this video is very helpful . do they have a bigger size or is that the only size they have?you see i have a main coon and i don't think he will fit in there what do you think?
and dos it centrol the smell ?
and what do you think is better in your point of view the litter-robot or the new litter maid?and why? I'm sorry for the many questions i asked
I am not sure if your cat will fit, how many pounds is he/she? I would NOT get the litter maid...ONLY the LITTER ROBOT. IT is a workhorse and goes and goes and goes. It does hold the smell very well, is very easy to clean and replace bag. It also uses regular garbage bags not special expensive ones. We have many friends who have got the litter robot and ALL love it! Let me know how it goes!
If he is 7lbs he should fit fine in the litter robot. give him a little time to get used to it. They do make one now with a clear back window to let more light into the globe. We upgraded to that model a while back. I am sure you will love the litter robot.
did you ever get one?Sorry so long answering, have not checked in a while and was out of town. I got beige cause it does not show litter dust as bad as black. Grey probably ok but dont know if material as strong as regular one. Callie is about 10lbs. Everyone who I know with litter robot loves them. They are so much better than other auto boxes on market you cannot even compare. You will love it.
Thanks for posting this video. I have watched many litter robot videos, and this one is certainly helpful in making my decision to get one. It was also very entertaining, a cat who goes on command. How big is Callie anyway? Is she pretty comfortable in there? What made you go with the beige as opposed to the black or eco gray? I'm still trying to decide if I should get one. Can you tell? LOL!

This litter box has 253 4.5 star reviews on Amazon, so it's unlikely it's as bad as this person is claiming.

@DaylightShineable You should just delete that person's comment. You get a lot of mean / immature people on YouTube.

P.S. I wish I was involved with litter robot company. But I am not, whatever you think. I sell homes, not litter boxes.

See if you can find a slightly used one on craigslist. The company also has refurbished ones at a cheaper price, call them!
