  • i was 9 that time

  • has david patrick kelley ever been in a movie where he DOESNT play a villianous asshole?

  • I saw this in the theater when I was 11. This scene and the train scene gave me nightmares.

  • I just watched this movie the first time like a month ago on Netflix Streaming, And I really loved it. Kinda cheesey at times but really, ahead of its time! The dream sequences were really good. Kinda reminded me of some of the dreams I had in while sleeping!

  • I do not understand anything! It's a movie or a show?

Where, when, and what is the story of this movie?

What is the name? Nightmare & Dreamscapes, or just Dreamscapes?

    Someone explain?

    Thank you! ^^

  • @Mrttns It's movie called "Dreamscape" from 1984. No relation to the Steven King book "Nightmares & Dreamscape." It's about a man (Dennis Quaid) who has the ability to enter other peoples' dreams, and during the course of the movie he learns of a plot to assassinate the President. Very cool, underrated little movie.

  • does anyone think inception is a rip off of this??

  • @MrBillcale Rip off my ass! I bet the guys that did Inception didn't even knew this film existed.

  • @archangel385 i will take that bet any day holly wood types all they do is watch movies and copy old ideas now thats all they do..i dont know if rip off is the word but i bet they knew of this movie and used its theme this is a better more creative movie btw

  • @MrBillcale Inception only had influenced by the 2006 animated film Paprika, not from Dreamscape. And no, this movie isn't better nor more creative than Inception by the way. Rotten Tomatoes gave Dreamscape 78 out of 100 white they gave Inception 86 out of 100 and the last time i checked 86>78, that's right, but that's not all. The idea of planting and stealing ideas from someones mind through dreams and the idea of a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream sounds a lot more creative.

  • @MrBillcale Oh, i almost forgot, Inception was also influenced by The Matrix, Dark City, and The Thirteenth Floor, not just by paprika, but they were never influenced by Dreamscape, so your wrong.

  • @archangel385 what do you know? who are you you can say you know? trust me this movie gave them the idea..they wont admit it..you have inside info on this do you? do you? no i do so stfu

  • @MrBillcale And how the fuck do you know then? How do you know that this movie gave them the idea? What because this movie came out in 1984 and Inception came out in 2010? Because both movies are about lucid dreaming, well if that's the case than that means that this movie ripped of from Celia Green's 1968 book "Lucid Dreams".

  • @archangel385 sorry but if i told you i'd have to kill you...wink wink

  • @MrBillcale O_O

  • @archangel385 trust me i know just trust me..

  • @MrBillcale If you know then tell me.

  • @archangel385 SERIOUSLY i cant

  • @MrBillcale Then you're a liar. You don't have any inside info, you made it all up.

  • @archangel385 sure i did ;D

  • @MrBillcale I knew it! =D

  • @archangel385 well you were right!!! (phew that was close..)

  • @MrBillcale "(phew that was close..)"

That was kinda stupid of you, no offense by the way.

  • @archangel385 i'm gonna get the last word if i have to start typing in hebrew..הבה נרננה ונשמחה

  • @MrBillcale Lets just leave it at this, Inception didn't ripped off nor were they influenced by Dreamscape. They were influenced by The Matrix, The Thirteenth Floor, Dark City and Paprika, with a little Memento too. Those are the facts, have a good day sir.

  • @archangel385 come on!! there are people being trained to assasinate people in their dreams in this film 20 years plus before inception 26 years almost 30 years before.. hello??!

  • @MrBillcale Hello what? Dreamscape is about dream assassinations, Inception is about planting and stealing ideas through people's dreams, see the difference here??? Plus in Inception they used the idea of a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream and that is something Dreamscape didn't had, so shut the fuck up and face the obvious facts that Inception didn't ripped off nor were they influenced by Dreamscape.

  • @archangel385 okay

  • 0 people are right to not dislike this. O.o

  • I LOVE this movie. Just wondering why there's the sound of crickets indoors in the last scene. lol

  • was reading a book, 500 essential cult films. it mentions this film and the snakeman. the snakeman freaked me as a kid, i wud think of the snakeman occasionally and wonder wat movie that was. mystery solved

  • So that's how Tommy got the idea to use the snake man. He's a very underrated villain in a very underrated movie.

  • I'm almost 40 and I still find this freaky. What part of this ISN'T scary?

  • damn, this is pg13? wow

  • @GodzillaXAbudAwwal I agree. I'm almost 40 and I still think this is freaky.

  • David Patrick Kelly was an absolute jerk in this movie. Great acting.

  • Did you know you are all just characters in my dream?

    Lucid the novel . com

  • This was another movie that Kate Capshaw did in 1984, the other one being Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. She is married to Steven Spielberg for those who don't know. :)

  • While watching this video i felt myself starting to develop special powers. At first i didnt know what was quite happening but then i realised i was able to predict what the characters were about to say. Amazing huh?

  • this movie is better then some we get these days...

  • "Little Bastard's right."

  • snakeman FTW XD

  • I don't find the snake man scary. But then, I'm not a ten year old! LOL I remember being MUCH more impressionable as a little kid, than I am now (as I think most kids are). The other scenes of the movie are a bit creepier than this, to me, like the president's wife being incinerated by the bomb...

  • Yeh, l shit in my pants when l was a kid after seeing the snakeman, funny thing is l allways thought it was the lizardman, anyway awesome film back in the day when you were young!!!

  • yep the snakeman scared the crap out of me. someone should upload that scene with the nuked kids

  • @bobbytomorow It's already on here. Take a look for it. :)

  • @tall32guy haha no way im too scared lol

  • SNAKE MAN BITCHES!!!!!!

  • Tina Yothers' (family ties) little brother.

(would someone please add the Kate Capshaw sexy Legs scene.)

  • My mom took me to see this movie when I was 7.....TWICE. The first time the film busted during this scene and we had to leave. Mom wasn't too smart with me and movies back then.

This and the 'transformation scene' in the thriller video were my scariest moments.

  • " thats my dad but he wont help me,"

    " little bastard's right."

    lol

  • The Snakeman scared the crap outta me too when I was a kid, but I still loved watching this movie.

It seems like most people remember the Snakeman scene even if they don't necessarily remember the movie itself.

  • the only thing I remembered about this movie is the snakeman. i finally found out what movie it was! lol.

  • your exactly right my friend because thats just about all i could remember.....couldnt even remember the name of the movie i had to google one the actors in the movie name to find out what it was.....thats crazy

  • @falcor1978 i didn't know for sure where the memory came from - if it had been a nightmare or something

  • That thing used to scare the crap outa me when I was a kid.

  • the snake man is bad ass
