  • I have 2 ragdolls, 20 weeks old. They are very affectionate, not vocal at all. They are just like puppies and follow me everywhere.

  • We have 2 Ragdolls, both shed, both climb, one is as noisy as a baby wanting a feed.

  • California in the United States.. there's another California?

  • my friends have one of these cats he weighs about 26 pounds and is over 30 inches long in the body

  • I see a smile in this cat´s face. I like it. I like dogs but I don´t have time to walk with them. Cats are easier of taking care and they calm down people.

  • That ragdoll has a penis on it's face.

  • my ragdoll cat acts like a lil puppy dog sometimes its quite funny

  • i own a ragdoll with the rare hour glass/dimond on her nose and she has the very rare green eyes i love her

  • I have a new Ragdoll Kitten such adorable little guy but he loves it out side and runs amuck attacks my older 2 cats and climbs up a tree and his round 9 10 months old and he loves to bit my hand and claw it and kicks it away but the same time pulls it to him

  • HAH floor dwellers XD

  • docile lol yes admitedly most of them are but accasionaly you might get one that likes to play alot and run around but also still has the floppyness and friendlyness of a ragdoll (when they want too). My one was nothing how I expected them to be! expect the unexpected when buying a ragdoll cause you might get one like mine. Still love him though (no disrespect to my first cat cause i loved him) but my ragdoll is probably the best cat ive ever had.

  • @WalliInHell haha! my ragdoll is the most psycho little thing in the world. he loves to climb and jump from one couch to the other. you could call him spiderman. however, he still turns to jelly when i pick him up and is incredibly friendly to strangers and other animals.

  • @helazahg :D mine is like that too, since i got a dog though he has been a bit testy (they are still getting used to one another) and now if he doesn't want to be held he will try and escape (esp if the pup is around) but most of the time he will just go floppy when i pick him up. Its funny though cause sometimes my cat wants to play with my dog the cat will run up to him and chase him and then wait to get chased back but he never hurts the dog when he swipes him. can't say the same about mice!

  • I WANT ONE!

  • Had 2 ragdolls for about a year now :D indeed they turned 1 a couple of months ago. Best cats ever

Elmo and Yoda are their names. They have flame-point coats. They follow you about the house and are amazing companions. VERY friendly too.

  • I want one so badly!!!

  • You should not leave Ragdolls alone or they end up VERY unhappy!!

  • @Lueola That is so true. My friends ragdolls are so fond of her. She leaves the house for work, and finds them unhappy/sad when she comes back. They look really sad when she's not around. I sometimes wonder if this kind of dependency is a good thing or a bad thing. Being a human, I think we have to bear the burden of this emotion in turn. What do you think? Do share your views. :)

  • Just lost my ragdoll yesterday. Fortunately he died in his sleep at home. My family is so upset. These are the greatest cats you can ever have. I'm a dog person and don't like cats as much but he was the sweetest boy. I tell everyone, get a ragdoll cat. They become more like family than a pet. :(

  • oh! it totally fits me!

  • I have two Ragdoll cats- Bear & Dexter. They're brothers, and they are very gentle and sweet! Well, Bear doesnt really like other animals, but he loves me and most of my relatives!

  • @MarioBrothersfan1 Do they have demeanors more like dogs? like affectionate and loving? i want a cat that will follow me around etc, give me affection, sleep with me, come to me when called. Would that be like a ragdoll? thanks for any inbfo

  • @freddyphredphred Yeah a little bit- most Ragdolls love attention, and whats funny is Bear sits in the middle of my hallway, and waits for someone to pick him up. Ragdolls are quite friendly.

  • Comment removed

  • I think my cat is part ragdoll somewhere down the line. He is unusually friendly to anyone and anything, and he loves it when I pick him up and hold him like a baby. He is also quiet, and tends to sprawl out on the floor to sleep instead of climbing up to my dresser or desk.

  • thanks for the info....been thinking of getting one...heard about them years ago....

  • Pretty accurate, but it's a generalization about the breed. My ragdoll is an absolute terror around the house. He doesn't like kids and is extremely mischievous. Like any species, each individual is different. They are generally laid back and follow you from room to room, though. At least my little guy does.

  • i want one... :o

  • my ragdoll has been going outside for 12 years , he is very alert and protective of his territory, he bigs up to any cat that intrudes into the garden lol. They may be docile cats but they still have survival instinct, very alert and can tell a threat from a safe thing

  • that lady looks like a ragdoll cat lol

  • That's so cool. I want a Golden Retriever one day, so this is certainly an option for me to consider when I have a more settled lifestyle. I'm out and about too much right now. But yeah, a Golden Retriever gets along with everyone anyway, so they'd be a match made in Heaven. : )

  • I LOVE my ragdoll. How old is this video though?! Mine is quite the talker! O_o

I agree they are an indoor cat (we almost learned the hard way and lucky he wasn't catnapped) He's indoors now and quite fine with that. Not much of a shedding problem since he loves to be brushed (as soon as he sees us even moves his comb he runs to us) I <3 my Max (aka Fluffykins)

  • I've got two rags and whoever said they don't shed, must be on drugs. My entire house has been taken over with shedded hair. I can no longer wear dark colors because of it and yes, one of my rags talks his head off when he wants something. I agree that these "tends to" stuff is horribly misleading and may end up with mismatched owners/cats.

  • No shedding or knotting MY ASS. My ragdoll is a registered cat and he sheds like crazy. I'm always going behind him and cleaning hair off the carpet and I have to clip out mats every so often.

  • I love my ragdoll! Ha, ha, she does talk a lot!

  • she talks like they are objects (comes in colour bla bla)

and you can't generalize cats or infact any animal, just llike human beings everyone grows up differently, makes different experiences which forms the character

every creature is individual ... doesn't matter what colour, race and whatnot

  • @LyRaLex She's talking about the breed as a whole. Breeds generally due have typical traits!

  • I have a ragdoll, he is 6 and VERY sweet

  • my cat is a ragdoll and she wighs 3 kilos (6 pounds) and she is 8 years old, she is so tiny!

  • here's my 10 week old ragdoll cat: watch?v=6MFWCiI-Tls

    pls leave comment!

  • Must not hava a true ragdoll probably a domestic shorthair with some ragdoll looks in him

  • My ragdolls a HUGE dick. He attacks me and bites me and climbs all over shit

  • I had a ragdoll when I was little they're sooo cute

  • check my 6 week-old ragdoll cat, called túró. he's so cute! :)

    watch?v=YT90zit87Oo

  • Our cat is very friendly and everything, but he's not a Ragdoll... =) Anyway, I think these cats are too dependant. I would be concerned if they are in danger outdoors. Poor thing, it doesn't make difference between someone dangerous and someone reliable...If they're like that as the woman is describing them.

  • My rag doll isnt low energy at all, she goes f*ing nuts in the house, it might be cause she is still a kitten since shes just about 11 months old, but man, she attacks the crap out of me, and just me.

  • My Ragdoll is a champion! :D they are way too friendly and act like a puppy.. follow me every where! Walk him on leash as well. BUT he is a very chatty kitty..he's a loud kitty, quiet demanding sometimes.. hehe.. check out on my vids.

  • I love my ragdoll!!! I agree with the other posters, my ragdoll is very mean with other cats but a sweatheart with people. IMHO ragdolls are the best breed ever!

  • my cat has power against dogs?! no wonder all the dogs run away whn thy see my cat!

  • We love Ragdolls at Floppycats - We're looking for Ragdoll of the Week submissions over at Floppycats. If you need Ragdolls for your next video - I have several!

  • do ragdolls sit on your lap a lot? are they super affectionate? i want a really affectionate cat. :)

  • oh, i want two!!! male and female - will they make babies?? I don't like neutering cats, i think it's cruel.

  • @ohdoshutit1 What's cruel is cats having kittens because they weren't neutered or spade and then those kittens go to shelter and get put to sleep because of over population. Do your homework before you get a cat and be responsible.

  • @ccl2006

Whys this on a ragdoll video? Somone who buys a ragdoll cat will definitely not be putting the kittens in a shelter dude. Atleast where I live they are worth up to a grand.

  • @ccl2006 Spayed not spade. Also saying neutered means loosing a gender... so saying "Spay and Neuter" is a redundant phrase made popular by the media. "Spay or Castrate" or just "Neuter" is correct. :3

  • @ohdoshutit1 There is nothing cruel about neutering, but let animals have babies over and over again until they die from exhaustion (which is what happens if you don't neuter them) IS cruel. If you really don't want to neuter your animals, make sure they never meet the opposite sex. So you can get two male or two female ragdolls en not neuter them (just make sure they don't accidentally get outside and escape).

  • Cute.

    Affectionate.

    Quiet.

    Low maintenance.

    What's not to like?

  • @EgoOwnVos and boring! XD

  • Beautiful cat! But 12-15yrs is a pretty short lifespan :( My cats tend to live in their 20s...

  • @shinseimori I think both pedigree cats and dogs have shorter lifespans than mixed breed ones... :(

  • this is a cute kitty

  • I'm planning to have a Ragdoll, hopefully within 1,5 years....I have to move first (which will hopefully happen this year) I look forward to have a Raggie...they're just so gentle and sweet...

  • I have a cat, Pixel, who I think is part Ragdoll part Siamese. We got her from a kill shelter when she was supposed to be put down. She's not as cuddly as Ragdolls are described as, she tends to run away a lot when you try to pet her. But she loves drinking out of the sink and meowing really loudly and is super friendly! Extremely playful too. I ended up googling Ragdoll/Siamese mixes but apparently these do not exist... any help? Thanks.

  • @singinglawnchair

that is because raggies have siemese bred into there genes. that is why they get the points of ther face, tail and legs. so for it to say it doesnt excist just means that the ragdoll has siemese in its genes already.

  • I love these cats! I fell in love with them when I read that they go limp when held, which I found very endearing. I've been researching them for a while, which I will continue to do, because I'm trying to convince my dad to let me get one. It's going well, from what I've been reading, they're perfect for me and my family's lifestyle. Hopefully I'll be allowed to have one by my birthday in 7 months!

  • @kittykat490 Well hello then! I myself am doing my own reasearch on cats. I will hopefully get one in half a year!!! My mother wants a shorthaired one though, which I will beg for a siamese. But we probably won't get a siamese. Otherwise I would easily go for a persian or a ragdoll. Hopefully you do get your cat, and so do I! I suggest writing an essay on it, because that's what I did and now my mom is basically 80 percent convinced and my dad is all for it. Good luck!

  • This is weird, my cat looks siberian with very long black fur and a red tinted black main around her neck with yellowish green eyes , she is a flexable cuddly rag doll but she loves being outside she will kill anything. She kills baby bunnies, mice, huge rats, baby ducks and unborn bird eggs and brings them to my door step. But she is gental to humans. So half of this video is true about mine but half is totally false lol. I love my cat she's so perefct for me :D

  • @DeeGirl1212

wow! I didnt know ragdolls came in black!!!!! ive been researching for a while and this is outstanding, Thats so cool!!!

  • Looks more like a Snowshoe cat to me...

  • I have 3 ragdolls xD 3 years old there soooooo adorable always wanna cuddle and play sometimes with you. But you cant put them outside they cant defend thereselfs well.

THere soooooo lovely adorable and cute i have 5 kittens now 3 weeks old :)

  • I love my ragdoll, His name is macintosh and he is extremely cuddly. He headbutts you as a greeting (: I love this type of cat so much.

  • Are ragdolls generally sweet tempered and friendly? Do they greet their owners at the door when they come home? Where can u adopt adult ragdogs from?

  • @3333sweetie yes they r very sweet usually, u may have a very very small chance if getting one that is a bit on the cranky side, mine dont usually greet me but they wake up when they hear me come home and i have no ideo where u could adopt an adult, if i were u id try going 4 a kitten from a well known breeder, hope this helps ;)

  • @peacelovetwilite makes sense. But kittens are expensive & their personalities aren't developed, what about that? where can u adopt kittens from?

  • @3333sweetie Actually, an adult Ragdoll is not that much cheaper then a kitten. Here in my country, you sometimes nearly pay the same price for an adult as for a kitten. I prefer a purebred cat because then I know what kind of personality I can expect (though they all have their own individual personality ofcourse). You can adopt a kitten from a breeder. Perhaps handy to find a website from a Ragdoll club of your country first....They have links to good breeders around the country.

  • My Ragdoll is almost 10 yrs old and my fave pal. He wakes me up every morning by either licking my eyelids til they open, stomping on my chest, or pushing aside the curtains so the sun fries my brain. When I'm up he promptly herds me to the shower and meows loudly at me until I turn the water on at which time he proceeds to lick the water from the curtain. I call this Adventure Water. Then I'm herded to the kitchen to fetch his food but if it's not the one he wants he pukes it up at my feet.

  • OMG! this is THE perfect cat!

and my parants say I can have one

    Jeej!!

I'm so happy hope I can have it soon :D

  • They need to change the vocal to a notch or two higher, my cat talks alll the time, it's cute :)

  • my ragdoll sheds a bit but hes wonderful

  • I'm starting to wonder if my old cat wasn't part ragdoll. We got her off the street, she followed us home, was fluffy and had the same facial shape as a ragdoll, would come when called, and was BIG for a kitty. The only difference seems to be the coloring. I wonder... :)

  • shame these cats are so expensive :(

  • @accidentalhomicide but worth every penny I love my ragdoll kitty.

  • @accidentalhomicide Maybe because they're specific races... Ragdolls and British Shorthairs for exemple, are very expensive because of that. They're not those everyday cats we can find at the nearby farm or someplace like that. Personnaly, I think it's ridiculous! Cats are cats! They're all equal!

  • replacing my cat nao

  • Too anyone who's curious: they're more muscular than they are fat. Their large size is mostly because they're usually fluffier =3

  • My Ragdoll is VERY vocal. OTL She doesnt really like being cuddled (...well, we cuddle her anyway). D':

  • @Unawhut Mine won't sit on my lap and runs away from everyone who comes over. She likes me picking her up for cuddles though, quite happy to be held. she doesn't mind sharing 'her' bed either :)

i remember the fur when she was a kitten, you literally couldnt feel it on your skin because it was so soft.

cool how they never extend their claws when playing either, you just get a little tap from a paw lol

  • This sucks. I really one one of these cats, but they're so used to being friendly, they can't tell whats dangerous or not.=(

  • I have a Ragdoll and he acts just like Garfield, lol.

  • I have two ragdolls. I love them so much. Best cat I've ever had.

  • watch my vids 2 see my raggy!

  • I've had my Rag Doll for 10 years (registered, from a very reputable breeder) and, though I'd agree with most of this description, my cat is definitely not friendly toward dogs and doesn't care too much for small children. He attacks every dog that comes into our home and runs them off. That said, he's an absolute sweetheart who loves attention, follows me from room to room, sleeps at my feet and is by my side while I'm working. He's a wonderful companion.

  • @knitntea You also have to remember that this is a very general description of the breed. Every cat is an individual. :)

  • A perfect cat for me!

  • lol low energy, floor dwellers...

my ragdoll won't stop playing or climbing!

  • Awh this is totally my cat. His easygoing disposition, tendency to go limp, and fearlessness of strangers baffled us until we realized that he was probably a ragdoll :)

  • This is a great video explaining perfectly what ragdolls are and has alot of info people need to know about this beautiful breed.

Please come and check out our beautiful ragdolls, either here on youtube by searching "Aragormore" or you can check out our website which you can find via our youtube profile.

Ragdolls are so addictive you might not be able to stop at just one, you might need

    A-rag-or-more

  • In Memory of my Ragdoll Cat Kikki Nikki who crossed the Rainbow Bridge this week.

She lived to be 18 years old and was a wonderful cat. Everything this lady says in this video is true. Kikki loved to travel also. Don't hesitate to get a Ragdoll they make the best buddy you could ever have.

  • @Ladysensei have you gotten another ragbaby? I can only imagine how much you miss your Kikki Nikki.

  • "ragdolls are strictly indoor cats"

haha yeah right. my cat was the king of our street he beat up all the other cats (i always caught him in the act), he loved climbing, and he was a skilled hunter, yet he loved us and still loved to be held like a baby and he was so FLUFFY!!. in the end he died at an old age from heartworms. RIP Mickey the Murderer TT_TT

  • OMG I saw this breed on Cats 101 I want one so bad! Its my ideal pet for when I grow up and live on my own :D

  • I must admit I've had two ragdoll cats from a very reputable breeder and they were exactly as described; I couldn't believe they were a cat.

Their attitude is so much more like a dogs. They constantly want to be held by you, which is the total opposite of what I've had with previous cats which just didn't want to know, or only tolerated being held.

Both my ragdolls would be happy held like babies for hours at a time.

  • Had a handful of these, and my parents even breeded them a few times.

My favorite was a mitted sealpoint. Wasn't vocal at all, but he kept to himself a lot. Cutest cry though.

  • I have a Ragdoll Siamese mix that we picked up off the street. She's a beautiful kitty. <3

  • We got our Ragdoll (A bicolor) from an animal shelter. He's lovely and very gentle with our daughter, and he plays with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.. it's pretty cute. Quite a bargain, for $80 ;)

  • nicest cats ever. i have 2 brothers and they are great. my maine coon is still my favorite though!

  • I have a ragdoll and she is the prettiest of them all. <3 And so very affectionate.

  • they're insanely expensive. a ragdoll kitten costs around $1500 in my country. i really wanted one. D:

  • I have never met a Ragdoll in person, but they are beautiful and I have always liked the things I've heard about them. You can tell the one in the video is a sweetheart, look how she's kneading the table:)

  • fat cat

  • what kind of ragdoll is that???

  • i have a small Maltese dog and i am wondering if this type of cat will not harm it. I know that the dog wouldn't harm the cat for a fact. I noticed that you said they get along well with large dogs, but the Maltese is very small so a cat might swat at her. If anyone can get back to me about if this cat is best with the small dog and/or what type of cat is best with small dogs thanx!!

  • @ipwnuuuu2

i have a two year old ragdoll who absolutely adores dogs both big and small. when i babysat my neighbor's 6 week old cocker spaniel, nellie would bathe him and wouldn't let him out of her sight. they are extremely nurturing cats-my cousin also has one that adopted a couple of orphaned bunnies and nursed them along with her own kittens. they are absolute angels that love to take care of everyone in the house.

  • @lmfreels: I can confirm what you say about Raggies being nurturing. My Charlie adores kittens and takes care of anyone in my home who's feeling unwell or stressed. Truly, Raggies are the best cats ever.

  • hippie cats by lsd users for lsd users .. from cali doh ;D

  • ragdolls are the most beautiful!

  • misa loves kitties! This would totally be the cat for me

  • I have ragdolls and they require a LOT of grooming. They do not have single coats like she says. They have double coats.

  • My ragdoll will be here on Thursday!!!!! I can hardly wait. Why use a hot water bottle when you have a ragdoll kitty! His name is Gilbert!

  • The Ragdolls are just so cute

  • mushy

  • my adopted ragdoll is so vocal when she is hungry. She can really meow for 30 seconds but she is so cute and friendly

  • My favourite. :)

  • My kitty talks to me.. She is pretty vocal mostly when she is hungry.. or if i talk to her and make eye contact. So if i want her to be quiet i just ignore her completely.. but the min i make eye contact she cant help but say hi

  • She just described the complete opposite of my ragdoll cat. she's high-energy, noisy, always playful and climbs all over :) All cats are different, really.

  • I don't know what Ragdoll this lady has, but my Ragdoll is an active little spaz! I use the term "little" loosely. He is 11 mths, taller and heavier than my 9 year old cats. He is by NO means a floor-dweller. He LOVES my other cats, and has never met a stranger. He talks ALL day and the voice isn't quiet. Everyone things he speaks sentences. I do bathe him, and trust me, even wet, he's no skinny kitty. He isn't fat, either; just a large breed. I'll never own another breed, if I have my way.

  • My ragdoll is not affectionate, and doesn't like company.. She is also very very vocal. Compared to my himalayan, she is much louder and expressive.

On the other hand, my himalayan is verrry affectionate and much more friendly than my ragdoll.

Just advice not to buy cats based on these information.. they can be very different from what the stereotypes for their breeds are meant to be.

  • " They tend to be low energy "...I'm not surprised if they're all as fat as that one! Is that a natural size characteristic of the breed, or is this just another owner feeding it ice cream and pizzas??

  • @stewux They're not actually fat, it's mainly the fur. If you'd get it wet, you'd have one skinny kitty ;)

  • Haha, ok thanks for setting me straight. Watching it back again, I can see what you mean about the thick fur.

    It's certainly a cutie anyway.

  • @SariannaJ i agree, its like my cat lol she may look fat but when ya wet her... she looks like a skinny rat lmao

  • @SariannaJ

No if you get the cat wet, it will be a wet pussy. LOL

  • Ragdoll is not a true breed, they are actually Himalayan mixed with other breeds (hence the colors).

  • My husband and I found our ragdoll as an abandoned kitten in one of our storage sheds on our property. She is the best cat I have ever had. She's well behaved, very smart, keeps herself well groomed and follows me around like a dog. She can't purr; she squeaks instead. She is seldom temperamental towards strangers and younger kids. Highly recommended breed if you are looking for a good family pet.

  • erm they do knot and they do shed and they do talk!!! I love my pedigree Ragdoll D to bits but my husband gets her fur in his eye and up his nose... ha ha oh and when you groom if they have a knot they can go bald in the area you are brushing, combing.

  • I used to have one and I didn't even know it! lol That was really helpful though I know exactly what cat i am going to get next time I am out, hopefully I will be able to find one at a shelter or something! Thank you!

  • I'm getting one soon and I asked my dad for a Seal bicolor but this looks more like chocolate. I don't think blue.

  • Can any1 tell me if the ragdoll in this video is a seal bicolor or a blue bicolor or chocolate bicolor?

  • i think its a chocolate.. to dark to be a blue bicolor, and normaly seal is much darker

  • yeah i thought so but I asked a breeder to check on this video and she told me "it's a seal bicolor" chocolate is actually light brown whereas seal is dark brown (in simple terms) this is dark brown so it's a seal.

  • We have adopted a strayed kitten who came on our property last August. A mouth ago I found out on Animal Planet she was a ragdoll. Upon further research, I find her precisely, being a lynx seal point.

  • I want this cat soo bad! But we don't have the money. =[ Otherwise this cat would be PERFECT!

  • if you live in the US you can get one at a cat rescue if not many breeders have neuters that are still ver young like 1-4 years of age and you can adopt them.

Ragdolls are gorgeous u must own them!

  • This is the perfect cat for me. I like to stay at home, and love to just sit on the sofa and cuddle with animals. I don't like the arrogant attitude most cats have, and since the ragdoll is so loving and craves a humans company... gah, lets just say i'm in love with this breed x)

  • i agree with the person under. I'll be getting a little raggie soon ;D

  • This is totally the type of cat for me. I always wanted a cat I could cuddle with and isn´t to playfull and stuff. I had a cat before but she wasn´t cuddely at all so my parents decided to take her back to the shelter which broke my heart. She found a loving new home though. I also liked a cat when it has blue eyes which isn´t rare with this breed. So again perfect type of cat for me.

  • @danetza1992 All well bred ragdolls should have blue eyes. Look up Ragnificentragdolls on google, thats where my friend got hers! :)

  • @danetza1992 i have this type of cat!

  • i love that cat..oh my god!

  • I truly recommend a Ragdoll cat. :)

I love dogs myself and I also haven't ever had a cat (before now) and also I'm not so into cats, I like more dogs. But I already had a dog and she was quite jealous for other dogs so I couldn't get another dog. That's when I found out about Ragdoll, dog-like cat! And then I got my first cat, my first Ragdoll. I fell in love with her and 4 months later I got my second Ragdoll and 6 months later my third Ragdoll. :DDDD You just can't stop loving them. ^^

  • hehe i love how gentle and docile they are!!!!

  • I think I have found my ideal cat...

  • cats are great pets. very low maintenance. we plan i getting a ragdoll in a few months as well.

  • haha

    u got a mixed breed

    btw , let me guess

u got it without paper , right ?

  • ragdolls come in a few different colours, all of which can vary in shade and pattern. it sounds like you have yourself a blue, which are actually quite rare if I'm not mistaken. :)

  • for ragdolls, yes, blue is uncommon. I personally like the red and cream colors.

  • yes the creams seem to be very popular. I'm a fan of the tri-colours myself, makes for something a bit different. I would love to have a blue or tri-colour. But really who cares about the colour as long as you have a healthy, happy, loving pet :)

  • Since when blue color has been rare? In here the common colors are brown and blue. :o The rare ones are: creme, red, lila & chocolate. (not forgetting turtle pattern) And I have one brown turtle, one red and one lila. :P Especially lila & chocolate can be quite expensive when brown and blue are the cheapest one, since they are so common.

  • Well I'm from Australia, and here the Blue coat is very uncommon. In fact I have yet to come across a blue ragdoll for sale. Perhaps where you're from it's not the case, but I hardly see the point in getting smarmy about it.

  • Wow I didn't know that in some countries it would really be rare. (I assumed that it would be the same everywhere) Then people should buy them here where I'm from, Finland. :D

    We have them like this:

47,6% (of all Ragdolls in here are) brown

43% (of all Ragdolls in here are) blue

    2,8% (etc) chocolate

    2,1% turtle

    1,4% red

    1,4% lila

    1% blue turtle

    0,7% creme

  • well there you go, over here creme is the most common I've seen. Almost never see any other colour in the petshops, haha.

  • You always learn smt new. (^.^)

I also didn't know that in Australia, they also sell cats (and probably dogs too) in petshops like in the USA. In here the only one selling dogs and cats are breeders. In petshops you can get other animals such as bunnies, hamsters, snakes, birds, fishes etc but no pups or kittens. :P

  • i just got 2 4 year old raggies today. both blues :D lol, thats 5 cats i got now! a bengal ,tortoiseshell, 2 raggies, and a ragdoll tonkaniese lol

  • I have 2 raggies, one just a recent addition, and yes they are a very gentle cat, however... my older raggie (zippy) didnt take to George at first, and my god he can growl better than any dag!!

  • I have a 7 year old ragdoll that i bought 5 weeks ago from a breeder... The breeder didn't realise she was pregnant when I purchased her... Yesterday my beautiful Tiffany gave birth to 4 healthy kittens... Petal, Darling, Sweetie and Blossom.... Mother healthy, I however and freaking out! :)

Should i tell the breeder I got her from???? *sigh*

  • No, the breeder should have known, and will just want them to sell them. It shouldn't be hard at all to find them homes. hell if you lived in florida i'd buy one!

  • Thanks! You've confirmed what i was thinking... The funny thing is I was actually suppose to purchase

  • oh shit

i would have ask u to give me one

but u don't live in the uk

  • where do you live? i'll but one! LOL

  • no it his fault he didnt bother chek keep the lil beutises

  • i have this cat and he absolutely wonderful! he's obedient, affectionate, but also unpredictable and reclusive

  • They adore Dogs, My Ragdoll Cat bosses my four dogs around and thinks all large animals are her best friends. She hates other cats tho, don't know why. She comes when she's called and answers promptly when you call her name. Best cat I have ever had, and yes , she totally follows me around like a dog, if not me one of the other dogs.
