You should specc retribution, you will get new gear while lvling to 80 and you can use few holy parts and the rest melee, it will give you abit more + damage (:
strength, strength, intellect,stamina, crit chance with both melee and spell (optional along with spell damage but attack power is more recommended) and strength :P
Str, Crit, and plus hit (until you get +8% to plus hit) are very important. Int helps some if youre using SoC, but SoB does not use Int for chance crit.
Strength, Agility, and Intellect (in that order) along with as much Crit chance and attack power you can find...Agility works wonders with ignoring the targets armour and crit chance.

at 70 new ret is awsome, finaly itll be fun to lvl as ret. You have 3 instant attacks that scale with gear, u can kill same lvl elite mob without significant problems, and since most of ur dmg is holy (i think this is temporary) you can beat or come very close to beating most of S3-4 geared ppl

out of habit i hit seal of command sometimes after judging, but you don't need to anymore since seals are 2min buffs and judgment does not take it off

Just the same stats as a warrior, go in this order:
Strength; Crit; hit and then you are done.
Intellect sucks for paladins atm
