It is because of the NSPS which was pushed out by Rumsfield years ago. The NSPS was supposed to replace the GS personnel system. Not enough space here to explain it all but the conversion of employees has been phasing in for years and the pace was already set. The NSPS was repealed this year and all employees will be reverting back to the GS system.

I am a civilian employee of the DOD. I can tell you exactly why you have seen the rise in the top paid by the federal government. It is because of the NSPS which was pushed out by Rumsfield years ago. The NSPS was supposed to replace the GS personnel system. Not enough space here to explain it all but the conversion of employees has been phasing in for years and the pace was already set. The NSPS was repealed this year and all employees will be reverting back to the GS system.

It would be easier for consumers to buy presents on sale thru the year instead of waiting to the last minute. Makes sense to me if they give presents. Daniel, Im not sure if letting your son cry is such a good idea; it is far too early for him to understand the concept that he wont always get what he wants at such an early age. At this point in his life he is building bonds between people and you should show him that you will always be there. Between 2 and 3 years of age it becomes a good idea to start showing them your original important point.

Daniel I have a one year old and I watch her all day and I go thru the same thing. I spend time with her, everything is done fed, changed etc... put her down and she cries. I do the exact same thing by letting her cry and work it out otherwise they get smart and work you over every time. Welcome to fatherhood!!
