Savings not only in fuel, but also in maintenance. ICE powered cars are one of the most complex mechanical machines used by everyday consumers, and all of those moving parts need to be serviced once in a while.
For those wanting to know how much in U.S. dollars....with government incentives...according to this ad 30,000 Euros equals just about 38,000.00 U.S. dollars. How many consider this 'affordable'?
I haven't spent that much on a single one of my vehicle. In fact, I purchased both my last two cars (Honda Accord & Honda Prelude) for less. 35 mpg or better on both cars. Still getting 32 with the 22 year old Prelude. Honda Civic in 1977 which got almost 50 MPG and only cost me $1999.00.
I don't know how much electricity you can get from regenerative braking but any little will help. I'd rather attach an electric converter to the wheels of the car. You get tremendous amount of electricity on the open roads.
With the vary high price of petrol, these babies are going to sell like hotcakes.
