  • Oh, Vicki. Don't you remember the wonder of it all? The sheer magic of being so in love.

  • この動画か、アンジェラの番組で流れてたやつは

  • @guutTV テレビの事情に疎いので、何のことやらでしたが、いまわかりました。映像が残っているのならソフト化してほしいですね。

  • @wilswasit104.... Sorry about the typo....God bless you as well.

  • Thanks for posting this song. As usual Boz is excellent! But I must give props to the pianist, I think this is the best accompaniment on the piano ... Ever! @wilswasit104....Boz doesn't need stage presence. When you are a talent of this caliber, no one is concerned about how you move on stage.( except you I guess) LOL! His career has spanned40 years or more. So he must be doing something right. Boz Scaggs is one of the best singer/songwriters around today. Why he's nt in the Rock and Roll of

  • when I go heaven thsi song would come up my mind.

  • God bless this great talent!!

  • I would give my right arm to be able to get up on the stage & sing this song w/you! Make my dream come true...my love!!!

  • So agree, Rita didn't bring it like Boz, but My God, the man has no stage presense. Can't count the nights I sat up and did Boz.. Better heard and not seen- He just doesn't work on stage.

  • @wilswasit104, just shut up and let him sing the fucking song,

  • いいな、いいな、いい曲だな。。。。

  • 昔LP盤が擦り切れるくらい聞いてた曲

    一人田舎から関東に来て右も左も判らず

    いつも寂しかった頃を思い出します。

  • June 17th of 09 I met my soulmate. I was drumming in a bar in Port Huron, just off the water. She was swaying to the music. As my eyes fell upon her, everything stopped.... A wistful romance danced between us, and faded into the clouds... Our souls desperately trying, but ultimately succumbing to distance and circumstance.

  • i really don't wann go out 2 sea...but 4 u baby...i will. i'm drowin....

  • What a really good version to such a great song! What ever happened to music like this?

  • how are now Boz? i like the way of your singing.

  • This song has a piece of my heart and allways will wish he was still alive to hear it with me. God , I miss him ,and allways will !

  • @ttekcupycnan Boz is alive and touring with Michael McDonald and Donald Fagen.

  • We're All Alone

    But we're all connected.

  • Go Boz Man! I love You!

  • One of the greatest love songs ever written. Thank you Boz!

  • Love Boz Scaggs, but no, IMO Rita Coolidge's version is much better

  • I miss you, Vicki.

  • great song ..

  • one of my favorite song.............i always listened to this........thanks for the vid.

  • piono?! hehe

  • this is my parent's theme song:)

  • ええ歌や

  • Is it or is it not Jeff Porcaro on drums? Theatrical, dramatic lighting is perfect for the song, but when you wanna see the musicians - not so good.

  • memories of you...

  • I can't forget you...

  • memories of you...

  • who is this singing ? Boz Scaggs when he was younger?...

  • The piano playing in this song is amazing!

  • Why this kind of song makes me sad??But really liked it!...

  • I'll dedicate this song to my precious person.

  • i love hearing the piono in this song. such a beautiful melody. very nice rendition.

  • the 1st i heard rita's version of this, i really fell in love on the lyrics ,music and the voice of rita as well..until i heard this, still i think compliment to this music belongs to the bozz itself. cheers to you men.i wish i had ur voice.

  • I love Rita Coolidge's recording of this song. I remember my brother and sister listening to Boz Scaggs but I never heard him sing this song. I just recently found out he wrote it.

  • Are you talking about Rita Coolidge?

  • Boz Scaggs wrote this song but I like Rita Coolidge better

  • What a voice! What a handsome guy.

  • @cybernautev Oh...by his talent and soul alone..He is a Handsome Guy! And the slipcover only goes to show you that inside reaches out...

  • this is probably the most beautiful ever written. it BREAKS my heart remembering someone I met and fell in love with in 1977. I can never bring him back but I hope he is at peace now.

    Goodbye Andrew ''my love''

  • First slow dance ever at the Beau Dance of February 1979! Great memory of being young and in love.

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love him.....beautiful voice, so soulful.

  • Seeing him Sunday. Can't wait!

  • So, marcelziul, you too did notice the resemblance! ^_^

But I like both of them!

  • ...ops.. these, not this!

  • I don't know why, but suddenly I have to sing this words...."the greeeeatest looove of aaall.."

Which one is the older song? ^_^

  • This one came out in 1976 - "The Greatest Love of All" was recorded by George Benson in '77...

  • Great Song !..Great times !

  • 5 stars?!

    he deserves a galaxy!

    very brilliant.

  • 5 STARS PLUS

  • simply divine!

  • Oh my...reminds me of the best nights with John M...Boz manages to sing better with each passing decade. Rich, raw, vulnerable. Great song by a marvelous talent.

  • He wrote this song

  • Coolidge lacks the sheer passion Boz brings to this song. Her singing seems "automatic"... no pauses .. it's like someone wound her up ... Boz uses nuances .... different tonalities and exquisite timing. His voice has depth. He is obviously INVOLVED in what the lyrics say. His facial expressions convey such unbridled passion which this song strongly requires. Close your eyes and just listen to it. It takes you out of your realm!

  • @Karen41872 hell yeah

  • @Karen41872 He IS involved with what the lyrics say, he wrote the song. Just watched him perform it live last nite in person, he did an outstanding job!!!

  • @wire4paladin --- Thanks for your comment. Where was Boz performing?

  • @Karen41872 It was at the Hampton beach (New Hampshire) Club Casino, he plays there every year...

  • im not alone anymore.cause the song is with me now

  • what a mem'ry! love it!

  • Boz Is SO PERFECT! I Love HIM

  • nice song.., specially rainy days..hahah jokeeee.... yah! honestly, i love the song very much............

  • awesome !!!!!!!!!!

  • Watch the new clip of this song done by me! Click on my user and see! Comment on the clip! It is very good!!

  • このビデオいいですね。

    Boz Scaggs大好きです。

    awesome vid!

  • you're never alone if there's beer in the fridge

  • ROFLMAO!!!!

  • you make me remember the Heineken comercial when the girls enter in a room with full shoes and the guys in a room with full heineken xD

  • Hahahahaha! Another +1 for that comment. x-D

  • I really enjoyed this video of Boz in his younger years . . . what a treat! His stage presence was not yet very well developed, which was fun to see and adds to his charm. I have always loved his baritone slides into his deep falsetto on this song, CLEARLY written to showcase his uniqueness. What a great vocalist . . .

  • I don't know why people have to say who's is best or whatever, but Boz wrote the damn song and the studio version is so much more powerful than this and he hits the high notes on that one and he was younger and this version sounds a little muffled and is in mono anyway. And to say this song is designed for a higher voice...not to take anything away from Rita but she doesn't hit the high notes that Boz did on the studio version.

  • Awesome Song!!! Boz Scaggs is wondersfull!!!

  • Coolidge's version sounds better because of the melodic guitar hooks especially the solo part. Scaggs only make use of the piano and keyboard.Anyway, both sing great with Scaggs the wamer of the two. After all, he is the song composer.Great song.

  • Loved this!! Wow he was great!

  • hsv

He still is! He's just BRILLIANT!

  • rita coolidge's version is much better

  • Agree. This song is designed for a higher voice. I think Boz knew that.

  • My sons first concert was Boz, Steve Miller and the James Cotton Blues Band in Washington. He was under a year old and his birthday was Dec. 29, he is now 38!

  • this songs sounds like:

Whitney Houston - Greatest love of all

  • in certain spots...

  • should have been more shots of the band - see if Porcaro was at the drums, as he was for this tune on the "Silk Degrees" album.

  • andrew???

  • Remindes me of the Brothers, I've served with, Oh' how I" miss them.

  • Brilliant song. Rita Coolidge sings this better. But that is no disrepect to Boz Scaggs. He wrote this song. Surf you-tube, and you will see some people hate Boz Scaggs for "taking advantage" of Asian groups. Huh?

  • Just curious, does anyone know the story behind this song? There's a couple of the lyrics I'm hung up on that make me think it's a bit more than just a simple -- yet, wonderful -- love song.

  • His music gives me goosebumps. Have been so lucky to see him at his start (when he played at local colleges) when he was peaking and when he started playing in venues I could afford again (casinos in Tahoe)

    Thanks.

  • really envy you komet67 loved boz for over 30 years never seen him live (dosnt come to london much still coolest guy on the planet!!

  • beautiful!!

  • Boz's sound is so unique! Lotsa soul in his singing. Very sexy! Love this. =)

  • Great song, really great.

  • This was the #1 slow song played at our 8th grade dances in 1977. Oh the memories...

  • great singing,

  • Can anybody hear the similarity between Boz Scaggs and BJ Thomas, or is it just me?

  • You know the more I listen to this the more I LOVE IT. This is awesome. Thank you for posting!

  • Aaaand we didn't have the luxury of programable cds.You actually had to have timing skills.lol

  • Wow! Boz looks so young. I've never seen this, thanks for posting this. Boz really is one of a kind!

  • Boz is very under appreciated... Very distinct and powerful vocal and great arrangements

  • Very nice, but I prefer Rita's version.

  • At the risk of sounding risque,if you couldn't get some serious loving with this on the turntable back in the day...well this was not a relationship fated to end well

  • Truer words were never spoken, Grange!

  • yep.EVERYBODY had Barry White.Or Teddy Pendergrass/Boz was my secret weapon LOL

  • Ahhhh... someone else who remembers "the turntable". LOL! BTW... some of my best memories were made listening to this... if ya' know what I mean.

  • Yes I Know Exactly What You Mean!!!!

  • Beautiful Boz!!! Love your magic voice and how you turn a tune!! Marry me!! LOL Thank you for all the great songs.=)

  • Beautiful! Thank you!

  • Just saw Boz Scaggs @ Borgata in Atlantic City.

What a great show! The crowd was really into it

So many standing ovations! Two encores ending with a 10-minute version of Loan Me a Dime.

    Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love his voice and his songs are simply timeless

  • He didn't sing this last night at Casino Rama..there were so many songs he didn't get to but it was this smooth perfectly crafted show of excellence, a reflection of him in his 60's so far away from Calgary in 77 and still so cool

  • Outstanding. Thank you.

  • i have tickets 2 see him June 25th @ Casino Rama, ontario,canada.

  • saw him last night in Tokyo along with Toto.

  • He's coming to Tucson April 20th....Got my tickets. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SUPERB! Wow - this is so cool. An all time favorite - and to see it live - WAY COOL! I was doing a project and looked up Canton Ohio and found that Boz was hangin' out in Canton 'til he moved to Texas at age 12. I love his early stuff - smoothest voice in the world. When I finally had a few bucks, I bought tickets to see in in Lorain and he cancelled. I was bummin' and I shall forever sing the blues about it.

Pat - Class of '65 Dover (OH) St. Joe's

  • Boz Scaggs singing voice that the baby who cried stops crying.

It is the best singing voice!!

  • You've carved a space Boz, a well deserving one...surely do miss artists like you...just so cool...

  • This song has a special part of my heart .... reminds me of my husband ...... who passed away ......brings tears ...... Sherri from Canada

  • sorry to her that sherrigfun, but you can cope with it for sure, and always remind, you not alone at all. Peace... Polly from the Philippines

  • Get over it already!

  • classic make-out music with Anne and Candi 30 years ago.

thanks Boz for helping me to seduce those lovely ladies.....

  • Saw him a few years ago on Long Island and he is still wonderful

  • This was the song at me and Babs wedding 28 years ago. Still touches our hearts. I mean daaang. Thanks for this, it's now a fav.

  • Simply love Boz Scaggs, brings back such wonderful memories of those special years in the seventi4es. What wonderfully composed songs and music. Thank you for shairing this with us, it really is very special!

  • Simply wonderful.

  • Perfection is not art.

  • Bass and roni.sooooooo judgemental..think you can do better. If you were a musician you would understand.Sometimes we love to have fun we aren't always perfect like you think you are..a-hole*

  • one of my all-time faves ... bass player hit a bum note on the second verse ... hmmmm

  • Does anybody have a recording of the old KFRC combo where they mixed Boz's version with Rita Coolridge's to create an awesome duet.

  • Will always be classic favorite!

  • exquisite

  • Powerful! Love Boz's voice and the passion he brings with each and every performance. Thank you for posting, :D And thank you Boz.

  • one of my favorite songs.boz performs with such conviction yet modesty.

  • Boz wrote all of his music with such passion and intensity~~beautiful

  • My favorite recorded version of his song. He is tired, but passionate. His voice is still that slippery oaken gold. A song to be savoured and cherished.

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Scaggs sings the original version with such conviction and feeling that it still stands as an absolute classic...

  • maybe he has jetlag, but he doesnt so good here!

  • What a great concert this must have been!

    What a fantastic voice!

Is this concert available on CD? (Japan, Budokan,1980)

  • Did he write this ?

  • very underated--love Boz

  • I love this song.

    thank you kenzo

  • Rita Coolidge had a big hit with this song, but Boz Scaggs version is sung with much more passion. Great piano playing!!!!!!!!

  • nice song very touching.love boz scaggs!

  • I think I recognize thos hamhock forearms on piano. Looks and sounds like TOTO'S David Paich who co-wrote songs with/for Boz and actually produced "Lowdown" By the way,Boz still sounds great! checkout his new DVD concert "Greatest Hits Live"!

  • I just LOVE this song

  • What a treat to see this! thank you for posting it ,.
