  • hahahahaaaa .... Jealous :D

  • "traditionally we type with 2 fingers and take about 10 to 15 minutes"

OMG soooo fucking true that is. Though that includes printing

  • 6 pharmacists couldn't take the joke

  • I am 2 months & 3 exams from becoming a pharmacist & I initially intended to work in hospital as I thought it would be more fulfilling than community pharmacy but now, after a 6 month placement in retail I discovered it is not that bad, I mean, I certainly feel like I am contributing to the patients I see. Granted, not everyone appreciates you, a lot give you trouble and hassle you, few even give you scorn, but to me all it takes is one sincere "Thanks" to cancel them all and make me smile.

  • continued... Plus, I definitely feel that the community pharmacist plays an important and often overlooked role in healthcare, serving as that vital link between drugs/doctors and patients. Their importance in healthcare is undebatable so people, just take this skit as what it really is, a joke. You do not need to get offended. It certainly didn't offend me. It's good to laugh at ourselves sometimes. True, it's a pity many people believe it to be true but who cares what people think anyway?

  • "i gotta take pills from this big bottle and put them in a little bottle. its really hard!" -- jerry seinfeld

  • ROFL. As a pharmacist I approve XDXD

  • He forgot to mention the thrill of standing on a platform so that you're higher up than everyone else :-)

  • @jhudoraevil333 it's a joke? really?

  • @jhudoraevil333 ... yes it is a joke. Thats the reason its on a comedy program.

  • @MrWestification Yours is the best comment here. Some just take everything in the media (including comedy skits) so seriously -.-

  • How do they interpret the scribble on the prescription forms?

  • @TCFan25 if in doubt, PLACEBO :-P

  • @TCFan25 didn't know your doctor still handwrite prescriptions. I believe most type it out nowadays to avoid confusion/misinterpretation

  • LMFAO

  • omg lol so true

  • lol PHARMACY 4 EVER

    EAST ANGLIA!!!!!!!!

  • Pharmacists are glorified checkout chicks. "Hi could I get this script for some pills you have right there behind the counter filled please?" "Certainly, but first, fuck off for ten minutes so I can pretend I actually do something".

  • lool mate, even if u go to fast food, it prob will take at least a few minutes to gather your food. Considering that this is medication/drugs we're dishing out and not just junk food, i would have thought ppl would actually be glad that we take a little bit more time to make sure you're not taking the wrong things. Also despite how important you think you are, there's probably other people waiting before you. Trust me, we don't like you hanging around us anymore than we have to.

  • Some days I wish that was all our job entailed....

  • That's the spirit!

  • absolutely hilarious, I'm at Monash's parkville campus where they offer pharmacy, and pharmaceutical science. I do Pharm. Sci and we give so much crap to the pharmacy students, because as this sketch depicts, they don't exactly do much

  • right, only to read and memorize every single drug there is on the market its effects administering the correct dosage etc etc? they don't do much u say?

  • Pharmacists do not contribute to the scientific community at all, they are pseudo doctors. Reading the MIPS isn't exactly hard, and I very much doubt pharmacists know every marketed drug off hand, that is a bit far fetched.

  • @muzman52 Well ofc they don't, even doctors who PRESCRIBE them don't know every marketed drug off hand...lol

But truth be told, pharmacists get paid alot for not having to do 'alot' (even though in reality they do, just not so much in terms of labor but they're life long learners, so they constantly have to study and keep themselves up to date with changes and updates in the pharmaceutical world), so people envy them and thus try to give them shit.

  • thumbs up to you, from a homeopath.. so many who imagine that what little they know, is still way more than everyone else.

  • @annesash Ha, a homeopath making jokes about a pharmacist. At least pharmacists sell real medicine, not just water. Oh wait on, the water has memory, yeah? How do you keep a straight face giving that crap to people?

  • if only it was this easy. -_-

    and i'm not a slow typer. ^_^

  • Hahaha this is a classic!

  • "Hi. I'd like some black jelly beans please."

"No problem. Have you had these before?"

  • BTPOSSUM. LOL

  • You rule. I think you know this. But, just in case...

  • LOL

  • lol, definitely what most people think...

  • OK. I'm sick. Kind of disturbs me that you know who my pharmacist is though...

  • You suck.

  • sigh the sad part is people really do think thats what it's all about.

  • Great video :)

  • lol!! my favourite part is where the guy uses one finger to type..haha

just for laughs..i'm a pharm. student myself!

  • its a skit.... get over it!

  • this video isnt necessarily meant to be taken seriously, i know heaps of pharmacists and they r anything but "slow typing idiots" the video is awesome tho, just let people laught at it and dont care what they think lol

  • I'm one exam from being a pharmacist and I found this hilarious =D

  • I've always thought (and found for myself) that you get out what you put into the job. Have a good think about it.

  • MstrNye must be an Americano - no sense of humour. I mean, they think Letterman is funny!

  • No, not an american, please read all the conversation in future - Long time ago now, but I was upset with a person who had no sense of humor and was really upset by the video.

  • Have a sense of humour about yourself! I'm a pharmacist also and I've been showing this to all my staff and some patients. If you're not appreciated you should probably think about if you are actually doing anything worth appreciating you lazy bastard.

  • yeaaa. then i guess everyone can fill and take their own pillz at their own risk...

  • Which is why I left community pharmacy after six years for a more fulfilling career as an industrial pharmacist in sales and marketing!

  • LOL, what molecularist said.

  • ignorance

  • which is why i'll be working in a hospital pharmacy shazzaaam
