I am heading to Florida at the end of the month for a couple weeks.. I agree with you when people in videos bring something they don't really need as an essential. I literally bring just my essentials (concealer, the Naked Palette (I use Creep to line my eyes with so I don't need to pack an eyeliner), my eyebrow kit, a blush or two, Benefit High Beam, my pressed powder, my inner eye highlight, mascara, and the tools like my brushes (I only use about 5), my eye lash curler), and tweezers.
Hi : ) I've sort of been doing this daily, or trying to : / not for travel, but trying to speed up the time it takes me to do my makeup. I sit down, pull out what I can't live without, including brushes needed & I only use those things. I'm still taking up to 30 minutes though! I shoot for 5-10 & I think I'm being quick, but then I look at the clock & grrrr
I don't get how people say the Urban Decay Primer Potion works for them. I have oily lids and I'm prone to creasing and that did not work for me. I tried the ELF one buck one and it works great. I was using Urban Decay shadows when testing them out so I dunno what went wrong.
@TheGLOSSette Eye primers are just like face primers, foundations, etc. They work amazingly well for some people, and not so well for others. I swear by UDPP, but I find TFSI to be just okay. No other eye primer has worked for me. Never tried the ELF one though, maybe I'll give it a go when I run out of UDPP!
@TheGLOSSette i'm like that. udpp and tfsi never kept my shadows from creasing no matter how i changed up the application. the elf one worked well for me also but recently i have switched to paint pots from mac. they dont crease, they hide my dark circles and last forever! i recommend those :)
@m0sas some people find paint pots crease so im not willing to fork out 20 some dollars to get one and find it creasing ... i was able to try out a 1 buck primer if it fails its only a dollar
@TheGLOSSette everyones different but the majority of gurus i watch and people i know dont have a problem with paint pots. just thought you might like to try it out since weve had similar experiences, plus you can always return them. i think the elf primer is okay for creasing..but it doesnt work miracles..quality is better than quantity sometimes!
u really remind me of a friend of mine that I had in highschool... its nice thatyou did this vid when you came back so you can tell us stuff you brought but really didn't use
I love that Sonia Kashuk Blending brush too! It's a nice multipurpose brush. I've had short trips where I've only brought that one.

@ClementineCutie Haha it's definitely a struggle to pare down your routine to 5 minutes- I don't think I could do it! Happy New Year to you too! xo

@arachnesweave I like the primer, it's just not an HG for me. I still get oily :( But I think that's just something I'm going to have to live with!
