I just don't see as they could have told a spider man story without the Norman Osborne AND Harry Osborne green goblins. Problem is that leaves one movie with which to deal with a non green goblin villain. So you can't go with another goblin. Because then the audience would get tired of that too quickly. so then you have to choose another villain. My vote would have been Doc Ock, Venom, or the Kingpin.
I sure hope they re-do Green Goblin in the new Spiderman movie series. The last one was horrible, even though Willem Defoe was perfectly cast.
