With better voice acting ( Well, more like more voice actors. You can hear the few of them go round. ) And better character models/Faces. Along with a better enemy - equipment scaling this game would be alot better in my eyes. The game was really good for It's time, I feel. But these are some of the minor (Well, the level scaling was a bit more than minor) things that drag the game down. Especially now that the game has aged. You can fix alot of this with mods though :D Which is why PC rules.

@LiefyTree There is a main storyline which is about 25 hours long if you go right through it, and about 75 hours of side quests, excluding downloadable content, expansions, and fanmade mods. Basically you can do anything you want after you complete the escape from prison. You can follow the main questline, or you can go clear dungeons and do side quests, or just explore. My main character went 80 hours playtime never touching the main story line after escaping from prison.

In this demo, I like how you can see the hand of your guy grabbing his sword and then taking it out.

I also like that greenish dungeon where you can barely see what's 2 feet ahead.

This is not the released copy of Oblivion, they changed alot of thing in the video for review purposes only. Look at the ruin, theres an elven defender (Alban Corinis), just like on the back images on the game box. The ruin is called 'Wendir' (SW of chorrol) and that Elven NPC is not in our copies of Oblivion. they even changed some sound effects like the bird whistling in the background, and I believe its all on high graphics. This is a PC review of Oblivion and they have changed the gameplay.

The game was originally made for the PC and 360 The PS3 port was made a year after. PS3 can handle a hell of a lot more than you think. Need examples? Killzone 2 Uncharted 2 WipEout HD Yeah yeah I know Crysis looks a lot better than killzone 2. I own it. What I'm saying is that with Blu-ray and the PS3's capabilities, Oblivion would not have had to have been toned down. Blu-ray = a shit load of space And is oblivion a good game? I might get it.

Apparently this was done due to the fact that the 360 and PS3 were unable to run the game at an acceptable frame rate with these graphics. This demo is running on a PC engine.

The big pisser is though the PC was capable of running it with these graphical tidbits, the game was primarily developed for the consoles and PC gamers got stuck with the reduced graphics too.

The mod scene for the PC though is trying to get many of these graphical tidbits reintroduced, doing what Beth should of done.
