  • Not if you're wearing tight pants and play Evanesence at the beginning.

  • blaaah! I do agree that strats can play metal, but that was bad. don't play death metal any more please

  • Hey what equiptment did you use to get that Deathcore tone? and you should check out my band Internal Ailment

  • love the harmonic 0:50

  • I own one of these. And I can get this sound too. It isn't fake. It's called, "Pump the fucking gain a shit ton, and listen to the thing make more noise than your mom getting fucked."

  • it`s not fake

  • Worst music ever.

  • @vincentzwarthoed ... thx bro

  • @BreakItDown5150 i disagree with the other guy. this is the best type of music :D

  • its fake?

  • People don't buy Squier's because they're too afraid of looking like wimps. A guitar doesn't MAKE who you are as a person or as a musician. Thanks a ton for making this video!! And don't take it down!

  • haha nice song at the begining haha

  • Lol, it's mostly about the amp, don't you guys recognize those gigantic crates behind him? xD

  • is it neck heavy?

  • @nazareneartists ... not at all

  • dont hate on the guitar , hate on the amp

  • fuck this shit man!!!!!

  • All these people saying "It's fake mother fucker" and just " Fake" are idiots and should stay far away from youtube. If it so "fake" then why don't you use your imaginary brains and tell us all, how it is fake and prove it... Nope, I didn't think so...

  • @jklug11 ... Haha, yeap. My inbbox is full of people saying my video is fake.. Why would i put up a fake video of a squire strat? I have nothing to gain from it, im not being paid, i personally dont care. Thats all i have to say. The amps do come into play as well, but those single coils are awesome for metal. Nice midrangy bark to em

  • @BreakItDown5150 It would of been easier to make a point that daron malakian used a strat for the first album and still does for his modern stuff.

  • @jklug11

These people r prob only concerned with image and not sound.

  • When it comes to metal (or any genre) its the amp that matters

  • @gramhyro14 Pickups do come into play though.

  • still not as metal as a Hello Kitty guitar

  • I Love fender squier i have a Fender american standard but i start with a squier

    and the squiers nots bad

  • This sounds downtuned quite a bit. Are you tuned down to B?

  • Fake

  • @BreakItDown5150 escuse me, how did you get that sound?

  • Jake E. Lee played a Strat with single coils on Bark At The Moon...

  • @ShortFingeredShreder not in his bridge pickup. He had an HSS config.

  • dude its your amp that makes the sound i guarantee if u used anything but a strat it would sound better. me personally thought it sounded like shit there are single coil pickups thst are made for metal sounds but not the stock peices of shit in strats

  • so...the guitar is good to buy it for metal?

  • This sounds a lot more like deathcore, or metalcore than Metal, haha. but very nice, I think what you use shouldn't matter guitarwise, it's the amps and pick ups. and It's not hard to switch pick ups around, I've done it lots before.

  • you could play metal with a tele if you want... tone is all subjective... im playing a bullet strat in my videos, not bad for a 200 dollar guitar, but i miss my explorer :(

  • that is fake mother fucker

  • With those amps everything sounds amazing ._.

  • Great for punk and grunge man, I love that guitar!

  • this guitar design is just so geared up for country and blues, hell.. getting on thicker strings just made it sound more shit, ill say it again that i love the tone and playing by this guy without a doubt but just personally really detest the guitar from experience

  • okay this does sound very metal, but ive had this guitar and wrote a review, its ugly, the neck is too fat, the headstock is ugly, the fretwire is small and gay, the scale length is like 25 - too short!, the lead connector position is on the top not the bottom - ugly!, a pickguard?! a wtf, stupid colouring of black and white, sound was nasally at best through shitty pickups, body shape is too fat, tuners dont do anything, pretty sure worst guitar ive ever known and i agree not a "metal" guitar

  • lol why is there so much hate on this video

  • Awesome METAL stance at 0:43....! YA!

  • Metal is awful. It sounds like- nothing! it just sounds horrible. I like rock but not this sort of garbage

  • @BreakItDown5150 pickups?

  • you immediately turn into a fag the second the music comes on. I'm not saying the music is for fags, however

  • Iron Maiden are fucking shit.

  • @RasclartPictures you are fucking shit

  • It's fake because at the end there was a downtune and you didn't do that... bastard

  • FAAAAAAAKE!

  • your holding that guitar like an idiot

  • i hate metal i hate you

  • @20p1 can you please die

  • You look like your taking a shit.

  • @TheBogumir1

    refrences

  • this sucks ass

  • Single Coils cant do Metal........Just a cruel fact, If you want a Start and to play Metal get a Fat Strat with a Humbucker.....Its what Maiden do..

  • @MenaPaws21 Janick Gers has one of those cool single coil sized humbuckers in his strat

  • AWESOME

  • you can do this with all guitars in the world -,-'

  • Nice attempt in using a Blues guitar for Deathcore! \m/

  • have u broken alot of strings or did u pup them on like that

  • the strings sound so floppy D:

  • I bet if the title didn't say squire, everyone would believe it's a real strat.

  • so u have all those amps and a squier? why?

  • how do you make it sound like that

  • hey thats the coolest sound ive ever herd on a squier ! how long you been playing for ? because to get that sound on a squier that fast your playing must take a long time !

  • This is BETTER than your updated version! Squiers are superb, guitarists who whine they're not are the sad gits who scrape the logo off and put a fender sticker on to impress other sad gits in bars. They should go the whole hog and scratch "property of James Marshall Hendrix" in big letters ffs lol! I love them saying how come you sound good on a Squier I tell them its a Fender but I was too embarrassed so I scraped the logo off and put a Squier one on lol! They've never heard of Practise???

  • CRABCORE!!!!

  • CRABCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEE

  • you can play metal in any guitar -.-' it doen't mean it is going to sound good though

  • I have about 4 squiers in my collection one bullet strat one affinity fat strat one california strat and a telecaster all of them play well and i would use them live. There is NOTHING wrong with these guitars.

  • i agree, squires arent as bad as people say. i used a squire jazz live once and it was great for what we were playing. not to mention they have some nice artist telecasters. slap on a new pickup maybe and ur good to go. matter of opinion

  • Lies. You stole the EXACT recording from someone else. dont lie. shit "player".

  • it's fake and probably gay, cause when you switch the pickups on pluged in squier it makes a sound and there is some channel changing during playing wich makes us think it's even faker then death. Anyways it's true i own a squier and with FL studio+guitar rig 4 i can make that sound :)

  • @wallflips .. I never switched pickups in this video.

  • what is the song at the begining? i forget

  • @darrow471 something by evanensence or however you spell it...

  • WHAT SHOULD I GET TO MAKE IT SOUND LIKE THAT?

  • Any kind of Strat should not be used for any form of Metal.

  • @RasclartPictures Im sorry but did u not watch the video

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @RasclartPictures .. I must disagree. Any kind of guitar can be used for any genre.

  • @BreakItDown5150 I've found that it depends the most on WHO is playing, I've seen people try and fail at playing metal on a strat (or any fender for that matter), however I can play metal on a cheap ass Aria strat copy, and most definetely a real one!

  • @RasclartPictures All of iron maidens guitarists used strats, hendrix used them..., Toni Iommi also used them

  • @RasclartPictures Thats why the guitarest in iron madian uses a strat, UHHH OK THEN

  • @RasclartPictures Tell that to Yngwie Malmsteen

  • @s3c0ndsk1n to bad he dosent play metal, he plays shred.. big big difference

  • @ShredGuitarNB I would have him down as Neo-Classical Metal which seems to go hand in hand with shredding so I think you are splitting hairs and being a bit of a pedant. Here's some pedantry from me; The correct spelling is "Too". It's like "To" but.....big big difference.

  • @RasclartPictures Two words...Iron Maiden.

  • @RasclartPictures MAIDEN

  • @RasclartPictures clearly your not an iron maiden fan then... dumbass...

  • @tocrazy4cabbage Touchy, touchy.

    Fuckin' uptight metal fans...

  • @RasclartPictures lol i like how your saying that on a METAL VIDEO! LOL

  • @tocrazy4cabbage So what? you are all uptight and arrogant. Bunch of narrow-minded elitists.

  • @RasclartPictures again, your on a metal video, what did you expect?

  • @RasclartPictures tbh dude, its the skater kids that are mostly douchey the arrogent ones, not the metal heads

  • @RasclartPictures Tell that to Iron Maiden.

  • @RasclartPictures Clearly you're not an Iron Maiden fan.

  • @RasclartPictures You do realize strats were THE guitar for metal in the 80's right? Mostly they were modified to be "super-strats", but they were strats nonethless. Pretty much any guitar that's fully solid bodied can be used for metal. Let's not be ignorant..

  • @RasclartPictures I like metal and I think any Strat should be used for metal and everything!

  • @RasclartPictures Iron Maiden play Strats.

  • @RasclartPictures Umm... Yngwie Malmsteen? Paul Gilbert? (Superstrat) And as guitarguy7480 said: Iron Maiden?

  • I had an orgasm in the second 0:50

  • Ok so it can do metal but is it anygood otherwise? I mean for intermidiates who have a low budget?

  • @Jackalofhighwater shit yeah. ive had one for about 6 years now since i first started. $200 bucks with a marshall amp. still use it for gigs and shit, id get a stratocaster or mustang once i get the money

  • @Juliaaaan97 ... genzbenz el daiblo

  • thank yu very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tony iommi used a strat like that before his SG

  • nice

  • i just bought the same guitar, sweet bit of kit for the price

  • Even though it is very well possible to get a heavy, metal sound out of a squire, it isn't as easy as it is with other brands such as Ibanez. I have a marshall amp and have been playing my friends squire out of it, and the tone is lacking considerably in comparison to my Ibanez. The sound coming out of the amp with the ibanez plugged in is much heavier.

  • @GreendayversusU2 because of the single coil pickups... that's why i'm buyin the HSS version [humbucher at the birdge]

  • dude, that is the sickest pinch harmonic i have ever heard at 0:50. It sounded like satan taking a shit!

  • @XboxBoii666 ... Thanks bro! lol. I started laughing in the middle of my dead silent class when i heard your comment x). Ive heard a few different things about that squeel, but i think your description of it beats every1's. haha

  • Why does everyone worry about the brand or what type of guitar it is. JUST PLAY THE DAMN GUITAR

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • @noentiendo79998 .... AHHHHH

  • @BreakItDown5150 i leave all the metal to my epiphone special 2 les paul and i use my strat for rock and country

  • my squier affinity has a humbucker but i started to realize that humbucker aint so cool on strat, i want a single coil pickup for the bridge, one that can do metal, any suggestion?

  • @DYZSYX .. Honestly, i dont know much about single coils. But if i were to just pick a good one of the top of my head, dimarzio might be a good optiion. Emg also makes signle coils i think,.

  • @DYZSYX seymor duncan hot rails

  • ahh yes dude! i got an affinity series squier strat and that piece stays in drop a lol sick playing by the way

  • @DeathcoreGuitarist94 ...thanks bro!

  • I have tha same guitar :)

  • @SkaterMonster ... shweetttt =D

  • dude you got an expensive amp behind it though lol. But I agree with you the squire bullet is a great guitar.

  • sweet .,.,

  • Sometimes it's where the meat hits the metal.

  • Just read your comment.

I do believe these guitars are great.unusually great quality.one you keep and pass to your kids.

    Forget the 2 grand strats.

Unlike a lot of entry level stuff(like drums),which can't sound good unless that IS the sound you want, these bullets do what you want and are well built imo.

  • I think i'm frightened.

Thats what mj would look like at 80.

    But,interesting playing.

The arctic white is nice too.

  • Dude, I have that exact same guitar and I can cover EVERY genre (yes, still got the stock pickups on it) and it souns good for everything. Picking up another one soon. I like it that much. And this is coming from a person who also owns a Fender and a Schecter.

  • @a7xMattShadows67 .. right on! I got afewnice guitars as well, and this little squire is just as good as any of them. Tone doesnt come from the price, it comes from the fingers! =]

  • @BreakItDown5150 agreed dude!

  • @a7xMattShadows67 so it can create a rock sound

  • hey guys never call a squire strat shit. fender sued my friend for that. i even work with fender at guitar selling

  • do you ever heard a jhonson guitar? i have a les paul jhonson, and i can play every kind of music even without change any thing, i can play blues and thrash with the same eq, so i think, any guitar work for any style... even the worst gutar, with the worst amp, and without any stomp box, will work for all styles, but is true, there are better opsions to metal, i think a jhonson les paul is not the best...

  • Ok, this totally proved to me that Squiers can actually give decent metal tones. :) Thanks for uploading! ;)

  • @snickersfan15 ... Ha, thanks. Keep it Brutal \m/

  • dude, i can play bloodbath on my original behringer shitstrat!! yeah XD

  • @givemeajackson ... Haha, sweet!

  • WOW. are you just using stock pickups?

  • @guitarguy217 .. yes sir

  • horrible

  • @MuriloO1512 .. you know it

  • wow this sounds awful.

  • @Nobhillbluesman .. You know it

  • 0:40 - 0:43

  • @ItsHeroXJ .. engage metal stance xD

  • This isn't metal.

  • @SmellsLikeNothing You sir, are and idiot.

  • @recneps96 What makes you say that?

  • Crabcore for the win :D

  • @sgskater .... \m/

  • it's single coil?

  • @MrOMGWTFxCorp ... yes it is

  • it looks like your taking a dump

  • @ravenshield56 .. You Know it =)

  • you look like a fag when you play

  • @TokeHuge ... Haha, thanks

  • That was really cool....i have a PRS SC250, PRS Tremonti SE, a few other les paul styles and a Fender Squier Bullet sunburst color and it does great for bluesy/country stuff although i love playing rock where i live its mostly country/bluegrass here so thats what i'm stuck with for now..lol...they are excellent for the price.

  • ZKxinvsd;fn asdflkbwrbq

Sorry about that. I was wiping the jizz off my keyboard.

  • Nothing brutal about deathcore. Listen to real metal, kiddies.

  • drop A? really? What's the point

  • What string gauge, dude?

  • @jacobdallen2 ... I forget the gauge, but i bieliev the were, beefy slinky strings by earnie ball.

  • @BreakItDown5150 Did you have to change the bridge saddles to fit the bigger strings? Because I know you can't do Drop A tuning properly with .009s.

  • @jacobdallen2 .. Nope, ive put a 24's on this guitar b4 and it fits fine. Stay metal!

  • @BreakItDown5150 Eh, I usually have to buy a thicker set of strings. I don't normally play Strat-bodied instruments, I actually use Paul Reed Smith guitars for the most part, and their tremolo (and wraparound, but I don't own any wraparound models) bridge holds up with it pretty well. I mainly use that tuning for some Whitechapel covers.

  • @jacobdallen2 lol? it has nothing to do with the bridge saddles

you cant play drop a on .009 because there will be no tention at all - meaning you wouldnt be able to produce sound. you do need to get a nut that fits a heavier gauge tho.

you would probably want a 0.12 - 0.14 gauge for that.

  • you are epic

  • how come all breakdowns have that same tone?
