  • Daym fire torch thingy...you scary

  • I like this recipe

  • i dont get it...is this meringue frosting or marshmallow frosting lol

  • @totally0511 It is a meringue frosting but when you broil it or add heat to it for a few seconds, it has a marshmallow taste :D

  • yea, because EVERYBODY has a culinary torch just laying around their house !

  • yummi! ;D

  • 1:04 i thot she was gonna say u cant feel anything burning ur finger idk the look on her face idk how but ya :3

  • Watch out for those sugar crystals.

  • Recipie please???

  • can it be whipped cream?????? =0

  • sorry if this is a stupid question but how come you didn't use marshmallow fluff to ice the cake instead?

  • @ullilet It would just melt and lose it's shape.

  • @ullilet That's not stupid, I was wondering the same thing myself. =)

  • @KaTieZCrAZyCasTZ

How does you wondering the same thing not make it stupid?

    LOL

  • My icing is very watery, i need help.. because this ingredient is for 3, so there is 3 cups of sugar and 3 1/2 cups of egg white ... i'm making for 2, so i put 2 cups of sugar with 2 1/2 cups of sugar .. and now its very watery .. any tips?

  • @AlphaNovember94 whatever amount of egg whites u use, you double the amount in sugar, if u have 12 ounces of egg whites, use 24 ounces of sugar..taht should balance it all...i take culinary pastry class i would know too ...make sure to not let the meringue deflate

  • yummy! :D

  • would you have to toast the cake or can you leave it?

  • Thanks for showing me how to do this. It seems really easy I am going to try it.

  • Well I did just as you said and wow!! it turn out grrreat!! I love it. I used to decorate my cake just like you did, and the left overs I just spoon them into a pan, wow they where so chewy in the middle and crunchy outside! In mexico they made ones that add Soursop (Guanabana or Cherimoya). So I always wonder how would they make that delicious meninges, I was so exited after trying yours and tasting the resemblance!! So tonight I'll attempt to make them like that!

  • I love this recipe!! Every other recipe I found they mix the egg whites right away, this one its better because while u are trying to melt/disolve the sugar, you are also killing any bacteria from the egg(since a lot of people would freak about salmonella)

  • Why do I torture myself by watching these?!! lol

  • WHERES THE MARSHMALLOW, ONLY RESON I WATCHED THIS VIDEO

  • should of had ur stand mixer all ready be4 u started the video

  • touch the eggs and sugar on the pot and dont wash hands. look @ her fingers at 1:10

  • and where are the marshmallows?

  • do you have to toast it?

  • you could just whip the whites then add the melted sugar?

  • is a can of deo and a match a good substitute for a blowtorch?

  • i'm going to make this for my baking finals! hehe! :)

  • i thought it had marshmellows now that wouldve been a very good frosting

  • can i just eat it out of the bowl itself ? lol

  • can i just buy marmallows melt it and put it on the cake i made it befor and it turned awfukll

  • can i use this recipe to decorate cupcakes? 'coz as it gets cooler,it gets stiffer right?

  • @9033249 You can use this for anything that you'd like to put a meringue on. I do this on lemon pies at work all the time as well as chocolate cakes. (think BIG snoballs ha)

  • iv'e been using meringue icing for awhile and it's still delicious but always leaves somewhat of an after taste

  • k let me get this straight: you're feeding people raw eggwhites?

or does that melting the sugar process, heat it up enough to make it safe?

  • @TYPEArchANGEL its safe in an unsafe way

  • @TYPEArchANGEL Most of the dangers in eggs lie in the yolk where all the protein is for all the bacteria to hang out and feed. Plus she heats the whites over a pot of water which will kill any nasty stuff and help melt the sugar.

  • @TYPEArchANGEL Raw eggs wont hurt you >_>

  • where can i get a torch like tht?

  • 3:53 screw that I'd lick my fingers.

  • mee too

  • i know right

  • All right, that's it! I'm getting a kitchen torch then. The effect - and the way you worked it with fingertips - is GREAT. One thing I love is the famous lemon-lime tart with ridiculously tall brown sugar meringue one can get at Mustards Grill (Napa, CA). It might spare me the trip!

  • This is starting to look pretty good, so I'm just gonna wash my hands and pull out my torch. lol

  • Add some coconut sprinkles... yum yum

  • Wait...so the frosting is just egg white and sugar?

  • omg this looked so easy and yummy

  • Looks really tasty.

  • Oh my god I will never be able to make this, but this looks so good by it self...

  • Man, thats all i need to do to make that? Awesome, I am gonna give it a try :)

  • That's why I use baking sugar, it is finer grains and melts faster.

  • this video makes me hungryyy

  • I love meringue @_@ It's my favorite part of these types of cakes and pies!

  • Why this doesn't have more views is beyond me.

  • mmm im going to make some for christmas
