The story, characters and the way in which the story unfolds has not been changed, but only the way in which you have written it.
say 85%-90% of the screenplay remains the same, but only some dialogue has been added or omitted and some scenes have been altered.
Would this warrant a new copyright?

on the title page in CELTX software it has the words BASED ON? if it's not based on a novel, what do you put there?
