By my calculations, (I work in doubles, the film is about 4-4.5 minutes) theres between 3000 and 3375 frames minimum. This doesnt include two unused scenes and extentions.

Whose Idea was it to get rid of the dragon head on chimeras! The dragon head looks so cool and is just as easy to draw as the other two heads!

Read my reply to cheerypup, a chimera does not always have a dragon head and never did originally. Besides, theres a dragon character in it anyway.

@DarkmaneTheWerewolf Ok... but the dragon head did look awesome while it was around... to be fair I was not dising your chimera this was just the first vid I could think of with a chimera in it. You are right the dragon itself does more then make up for the lack of dragon head.

Genetically, a chimera is an animal made up of two or more different genes. In Greek mythology, the Chimera or Khimaros is a Lioness with a tail that ended in a serpent's head and a goat head extruding from the middle of its spine. Despite the mane, the Greek Chimera, daughter of Echidna and Typhon, sister to Cerberus and others, has always been female- their way of depicting a Lioness was a close mane with ears protruding while a male lion had a larger mane which covered the ears.

The flying is very well done, and most of the scenes and motions are timed perfectly. The characters are nicely portrayed, and everything flows well. The fact that you made it all on GIMP impresses me even more. How many frames are there?

What i've done is pretty much the "Old fashion way" as in drawing every frame by hand. The only difference is i'm drawing straight onto the computer using The GIMP rather than on paper then scanning it in.

I noticed at the beginning that the Chimera targeted the Dragon as prey and chased after it, and the Dragon fought back against the creature to defend itself, then the Griffon might've been curious about the struggle it sees, and curiously surveyed the battle, but it wound up being caught in the middle of it, fighting both the Dragon and the Chimera.

What I really honor is how much it goes with the animation, it seems that for each particular section of music shows a different creature and throughout the music combines those parts as the creatures come together. Did you base the animation off of this or was it just picked at random

I really liked the song, Music has always been a big insperation to me. The story of the Dragon, the Griffin and the Chimera is one i heard a very long time ago and at some point, i thought they fitted together perfectly, i could distinguish and attribute parts of the song to the different creatures' personalities and it was long enough for me to build up their rivalry and show off their strengths and weaknesses.
