I'm still trying to understand this, the arab countries still got paid for the oil, right? We buy the oil with the understanding that we wont drill here. But Lindsy says they only had to use a certain % of the money we use to buy their oil, to buy our T-bills (debt). Have YOU noticed the odd news about Google collecting childrens SS #s ? I think this is so that they can match up the childs current location with DNA data collected from birth. THEY intend to be sure the kids with valuable DNA get roundup taken to a FEMA camp and then to a D.U.M.B. The parents will be disposed of at the FEMA camp.

The economy doesn't destruct it just means the population are less mobile and spend a greater percentage of income on fuels making them easier to manipulate. Its the same with house price raises , it means people have to take out bigger loans from the bank - economic slavery. Incrementally raising gas prices helps to tighten the noose.

When the dollar dies the dollars the arabs hold will be worthless , so they never get paid for the past sales of crude oil. Remember money is only worth what people value it as. If you have accounts full of dollars. And you sold real assets years before to get that account full of dollars. But the dollar has no value. The dollars in your account will not buy anything. That is the double cross.

I'm still trying to understand this, the arab countries still got paid for the oil, right? We buy the oil with the understanding that we wont drill here. But Lindsy says they only had to use a certain % of the money we use to buy their oil, to buy our T-bills (debt). I understand they have accumulated a lot of dollars over the decades, so when the dollar dies, the money they invested in our T-bills is worth much less or nothing. Is this right or am I missing something?

With a total economic collapse of the United States, the need for oil will be greatly reduced because there won't be anywhere near the domestic oil consumption as in the past. With no manufacturing to speak of and a valueless currency, there wouldn't be much of a reason to greatly increase domestic production. Jobless, homeless indebted people simply can't afford the luxury of driving their cars everywhere. microeconomies will form with local production, mainly agricultural. Low oil consumption.

When Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard, it was in trouble because our trade position was deteriorating. That's why the petrodollar deal was made with Saudi Arabia and why interest rates were raised in the late 70s. It was a plan to SAVE the dollar, and it has worked for 40 years. If things fall apart, it's not because they planned it that way, but because their plan to save the dollar didn't keep working forever. On the other hand, maybe it can keep working if we do the right things.

@sh4p3shifter Wey would have run out of gold if we had kept settling our accounts with gold, but the dollar would have collapsed in relation to the gold supply making imports too expensive before all the gold was gone. We would have had a few pounds left. And the resulting economic collapse would have precluded our ability to buy imports, anyway. Another commodity? Would the world have accepted settlement of trade accounts with tons of wheat at our arbitrary valuation?

China is the largest holder of US Treasury bill and bonds. The Saudi family is invested in legitimate businesses all over the world. The Saudis also bought lots of weapons from the US Saddam Hussein spent his money building palaces and weapons from the US and other countries. Libya does not own US debt. Iran does not own US debt. Major problems with this "narrative." Civil war will break out in the Middle East between the various tribes. Israel will probably use tactical nukes if invaded

It's would just be a plan to kill the dollar, something the "elite" could have accomplished 40 years ago by doing NOTHING. The fact that things were done which resulted in another 40 years of American prosperity is great evidence that this was not the plan at all, that they were trying to save the dollar.

And, if the dollar collapses, it will probably be $200,000 oil anyway, and the Arabs can still sell to anybody else since we buy very little of their oil right now. It makes no sense at all.
