Johnny Dark used to be on the radio, I'm his youngest son, so I should know. The station was cool as a kid, getting to see how everything was done, even the weather.
WPTY has used that package for almost 10 years. It is sad. Here we are in the age of high-def and they are still using the Palmer News Package, ten years after WREG used it. It would be nice if they could use the CBS Enforcer Package. I forget they are an ABC affiliate.
Was Johnny Dark a former DJ in Memphis too. Also, WREG's news intro was part of of the Shelly Palmer music package that had started on WCBS-TV as well.
Meteoroligist's get paid alot of money for just doing the weather especially in los angeles because they're celebrities & public figures of society

Red!!! That box is purple,violet,and pink. The graphics were nice. Since the 80s, channel 3 has always had great graphics. This is just an example.
