  • my son also has a global delay and is on the autism spectrum..he is 3 yrs old now..I also watch a lot of these videos..I am always so curious to see how older children do things..as of right now he is non verbal but he does have over 30 signs which has helped a lot with the behaviors but as he lost those ones he found new behaviors..your daughter is very cute and I love her glasses!!

  • she seems pretty smart though

  • she is four, please put pants on her. You would not film a 4 year old with just underwear on..so why do this?

  • @SlumberCloud If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all..you have no idea what the situation is so please think before you post such a stupid comment!!

  • @meggauth2 In fact I have a 8 year old who is ausitic, my sister has a 4 year old who is also autistic. i was just saying, put some clothes on her. What is wronmg with that? How is that being stupid?

  • Abagail is amazing and reminds me of my daughter so much. My husband and I watched this video with our jaws dropped at the similarities. She is an angel and you are clearly an amazing family. Best wishes to you and your family. XOXO

  • Abigail's so sweet. And full of energy! She makes me tired just watching her! But I bet she's such a blessing to you & your family. She seems such a happy little girl. Best wishes to you all.

  • Take her out of diapers soon.

  • Abigail is lovely, she looks great fun, I can imagine her being really good company.

  • ah the baby behind her is adorbs.

  • i hope she wear nappies for life if i was her i would

  • so cute i wish her all the best for the future

  • @xTwilightWolvesx I have Aspergers too :PP im 13 and im obsessed with Regular show

  • lizardbreath1981: Please check out my friend's website, then contact her. She may be able to help. I have seen the miracle she has worked with her own son, who was diagnosed at birth and told he'd be a vegetable all his life. Except for very few areas, you cannot tell he ever had brain dysfunction and neurological problems. Best wishes! Her website is Parents With Purpose. You can google it and it'll be the first listing.

  • She is adorable. My son also behaves quite a bit like her in this video. He's almost seven but he doesn't articulate quite as well as she does. He also have very low muscle tone though, so far, his hearing and vision is normal. He is also not trained. He appeared to be normal until his father died suddenly at 3 1/2, he did have some early vague signs of autism but just about any child can have those.

  • @Fwalsh100 your son sounds like he has Post traumatic stress diisorder... He regressed and forgot to protect himself... its human nature, quite amazing really...

  • She's awfully cute in every way :-) I have 4 year old twin girls who have delays (but not autism), a 9 year old Asperger son and a 7 year old severly autistic boy (not even talking).

  • cute girl.i have 2 sisters with autism.one is 3 and the other is 2,they both have only said 2 words ever,my name and my moms name.they are taking classes so hopefully they get better

  • She's very similar to my 5 year old girl (saffron), she has a diagnosis of high functioning autism, your daughter moves around just like mine, my daughter can be very quiete or very noisy, has low muscle tone and severe language delay, we managed to toilet train her las year (a week before she started school), she's recieving speech therapy and occupational therapy and is in ms school, accademicy she's ahead for her age but socialy and physiclly behind. Your little girl is such a cutie.

  • @hollysaf Thank you, she is cute. My daughter tests that she is extremely intelligent, but we cant get any information out of her. If someone asked her how old she is, her response is , "six months old!" She is definitely different.

  • @hollysaf Same here, I'm behind physically (Strength wise) and Socially, but in Mental and Speech terms , Accidemically ahead.

  • She's ahead of my eleven year old, and she was trained by seven/eight. You'll get her trained. (imo). Your daughter has much better speech and cognition than mine.

  • @SickOfKnowItAlls Hi, has your daughter been tested by a psychologist? My daughters nonverbal IQ showed she is extremely intelligent, maybe your daughter is the same. Sometimes, they just cant communicate it. I am around my daughter daily, so to me she doesn't seem THAT smart, so I think the testing is questionable to a degree. Still... it helps to know that there is more than meets the eye.

Abigail is almost five, and we are starting to succeed with the potty training.

  • @lizardbreath1981 My daughter was tested using the WIPSY and deemed extremely low functioning and untestable in every area. At that time she was five years old, in nappies, and had very limited speech. (a handful of single words). She was then tested at eight, and I was told she was severely intellectually disabled, mildly autistic and would probably never speak in sentences. Again she scored at the bottom in ever area.

  • @lizardbreath1981 Two weeks after the second assessment she said her first sentence. Now at eleven, she is combining two and three words, writing letters, drawing detailed pictures, and is day trained (not night trained).

  • @lizardbreath1981 I finally potty trained at 5-5.5yrs.....

  • @SickOfKnowItAlls It is weird how every person with autism and developmental delays are different. It makes it very difficult to know how they will turn out in the end.

  • @lizardbreath1981 It is, but I think you can be cautiously optimistic about your daughter. She's got a lot going for her.

  • @lizardbreath1981 I guess too, that was one of the hardest things for me.. to let go of my expectations and just be amazed by what she is doing (instead of sad about what she isn't). Although obviously it will always be there..

  • @lizardbreath1981 I have very mild autism, and I wasn't developed late. (I have asperges syndrome)

  • i had a question? I have a 2 year old, well he"ll be 2 the end of this month. but hes not talking yet he said dog for a while and says mama and dada and one time it sounded like he said all done. im worried about his speech he goes to the doc soon but i was wondering if autism has this effect and if your daughter had the same problem and what kind of things she did that i should look out for.

    thank you. jaymee

  • @1990jlp Hi, my daughter started saying a few words, and then I noticed that she had stopped saying some of them and could only say mama and baby. Alot of times, the doctor will tell you to wait and see, and that all kids are different, at least that's what I've read with other kids. My daughter wasn't even crawling or walking at 18 months so it was more obvious that something was going on. Your son needs to have a hearing evaluation, even though he probably passed his newborn.

  • @1990jlp My daughter had passed her newborn test, but around the time that she stopped saying some of her words, I noticed that sometimes she didn't hear me when I came in a room. She would turn around and get so startled even though I had been making noise. She apparently started loosing her hearing around 18 months or so. Each time she was tested it would show something different. She is almost five and was just now diagnosed with a condition called Auditory Neuropathy.

  • @1990jlp I hope your son is fine and will start talking soon, but if not, you have to be persistent. Sometimes I felt a little crazy, like I was just imagining that she couldn't hear, because sometimes she could. She is being scheduled to get a cochlear implant. I know it may improve her speech, but it won't make her "normal". Your son should qualify for early intervention in your state. They come to your house for speech therapy. It is free. The doctor should have the info. Good luck!

  • Cute kid. I have a 4 year old son with pdd. My wife and I are going to "TRY" to potty train him this week. I'm sure it'll take much longer than that. I'm no doctor or anything, but all I could say is never give up. I had him on the gluten / casin diet but I didn't notice any difference. I'm now starting to see some advances with vitamin B6. Please look into it. God bless!!

  • @stevensgl Hi, thanks for your encouragement. What advances have you noticed with the vitamin B6? I've never heard of that as a supplement for managing autism or developmental delays. Also, good luck with the potty training. Sometimes my daughter seems like she may start to be ready, then she isn't, so I hope it works out for you. If you find a good method for training, please let me know.

  • Thank you for your reply to my original question; the person I know is satisfied with your response. What you put originally "slightly annoyed" (her words) her.
