But this seems to contradict the theory that when pulled from mother, they become grossly depressed, and usually die. These babies, yes I know they are in cages and not the wild, but they don't seem to be grossly depressed and are eating well. Guess I'm confused.
Attacks on children done by the Alberta Response Model offenders emphasize the rights of fathers already proven to have been abusive. In many cases the attackers at Alberta Children's Services are merely attempting to break and attack the maternal bond. In most cases men are unable to care for children and are at this date the main provider in financial aspects. That permits programs of child care to access FUNDING to provide care which should have been allowed to the mother. CHILD TRAFFICKERS
@AnneFox7 Child hatred by the Alberta Response Model multi-disciplinary teams and abuse of children is the systemic pattern of assault on both babies and young children. The intent is to feed their industries and to prevent the child from receiving the family care they need by offering bad substitute care. This movement is supported by gay or lesbian couples who do not want to have their own children but would like to have the children of the people they HATE. RACIST child traffickers attack .
He put infant monkeys in isolation boxes for up to 24 months, sheltered from stimuli, light, social and emotional contact. Perhaps at most, a month would be enough to thoroughly document the effects of coerced detachment in baby monkeys, but two years is quite cruel, to the effect of pointlessness, it is simply sadistic.
Well, it's important to remember that when Harlow did these studies, people really didn't understand attachment. Around the same time period it was common for hospitals to refuse to allow parents to visit small children who were hospitalized because it was thought the child would adjust better. Sure, Harlow went further with monkeys than we'd do with humans, but it's not like he was being pointlessly cruel.
@malee74 Why does experimentation on monkeys disgust you when the Alberta Response Model teams terrorize and assault actual children every day. The abuse of children I should think is a little closer to home. The abuse is often done as a method of market manipulation forcing children to be taken from their mothers and placed with a father who will require many PAID services and supports and a daycare provider to do all the child care. The child can also be FORCED onto formula.

@zgoosekeeper This test was huge for humans. At the time, the large belief was that a childs link to its mother was entirely based on milk. So there was an ideal theory of baby farms where children didnt depend on the milk of their mother, eliminating a link that "weakens them." This experiment completely turned that theory around by showing that love is necessary and children need mothers

If an alien race did to humans what we do to animals here on earth we would consider them to be pure evil.
