will everybody stop harrassing this poor person, he doesn't want to reveal where he lives, and if anybody asked me that i would only keep it at new hampshire, that's it, no specific town
@JulianSaiyan98 im not going to tell you what part of NC i live in. becuase all yall wanna do is hunt out my good sites. im glad your moving to NC but i dont go around telling people i don't know where i live
omg i havent heard your voice in so long! lol i have been watching other gold panning in the creak videos but your like my favorite. i love your finds you found, and btw, what state you live in?
That video when you went metal detecting on august 6th and 8th was cool because my birthday is on august 7th also what kind of metal detector do you have I have a new and improved gold digger well technically I'm getting it on November 10th 2011
Also it's juliansaiyan98's brother not juliansaiyan98 my brother does not like metal detecting well I always watch your videos but I just ordered a bounty hunter pinpointer and a new and improved gold digger so it's going to be my first time metal detecting
Great Idea Noggin..Ive done that in the past with my father in law, and was able to find some nice flakes and partial nuggets..Keep at it..you will find the mother load
@FreeRSAccountsWeekly thats not funny, that guy is a troll, he made that account to fool others thinking it was me, while he post negative stuff about other diggers videos.
Awesome! Man you have to have a lot of patients and time for all that little bit of gold... But the bright side is that its in your backyard so you can go anytime... All that gold will add up one day! Congrats on your gold!
When you print these pictures, with nothing for size comparison to these tiny nuggets, they look like some honking fist-size pieces of Austrailian gold. Frame them and put them on the wall of your bedroom. When your friends come over, casually say, "Yeah, I found those out in the creek in the back yard...."....yawn.....By the way, I have to say how lucky you are to have this resource right in your backyard!!! Super cool...
@Kimster805 yea, that picture in hte beginning of the movie looks like quarter size nuggets, but there about the size of a grain of sand , lol. i found them on another hunt.
If it's flour gold (very find), you can pick it out with a paint brush, and then dip your paint brush in a vial filled with water. I sinks quickly. Those are some pretty sizable flakes your finding. A lot of areas only yield flour gold. It's really fun to look at your flake, or even particles of flour gold, under a low power microscope. You'll find, no matter how small, each piece of gold is in reality a tiny nugget. If you can take picture through your microscope, all the better.
Congrats on the gold, You need to make you a show and call it Nc gold rush!! How close to Pageland SC are you? I have relatives there and they found some kind of pistol they say was from the civil war, and some other kind of war relics, Next time I go down there to visit ill let you know and maybe we could do some detecting, I know there are two old abandoned housed on their property too.
You're pretty good at placer mining, Nuggetnoggin. Another trick you can use for panning out the gold is to "backwash" the heavy material in your pan. Tip your pan down on the side facing away from you, then tip it down on the side closest to you. If you haven't used this method before, you'll get the hang of it right away. The lighter material (and black sand) will start moving across the pan toward you, leaving the gold behind, at which time you can pick it out with a tweezers.
That's a good one for your 200th NN! Not an overwhelming amount of gold but all that's going to add up very quickly. Try skin-so-soft from avon for the skeeters and deer flies. It works very well over here in TN. The 33% deet works good too but deet is pretty nasty stuff.
@jmwnycprr ha, if your finding garnets usually gold is on the opposite side of the creek, if the creek curved sharp looks on both sides at the edge of water, gold would be on the inner curve though, well depends on which way you consider to be inner.
@nuggetnoggin I was using a hand dredge on a rock bar that ran all the way across the river. I figured that is like a natural sluice to catch the gold. I did find an old beaver tail pulltab in the rocks there. I was a mile or so from civilization so that pulltab proabably was caried there. Im hoping for a coin some time in my classifier. All our gold up here is glacial gold. Is there any public gold panning places down your way. I might go to Colorado on my vacation.
Great job Nugget.Guess i need to check and see if it is possible we have gold.If the little air bubble in your displays drive you crazy, you can just seal them under water in a bucket.Really doesn't matter much if you aren't videoing. But if you find your name sake"nugget",i want to get a good view of it.Sure you'll find one eventually!
You are one interesting bugger NN! You get into all sorts of stuff, next up you'll be doing a vid of opening your own gold mine. Gob bless you, man....you definitely have a will that does not break! By the way congrats on gettin you some gold!
You inspired me to start with an Ace 250 this last march. Just recently have had the time to go hunt. No silver to report yet, but lots of fun! I need to get better at finding virgin ground to hunt. Your ability to find, get permission and hike out is impressive. Thanks NN and HH.
@Vezmerize I'm glad i inspired you to use the Garrett ace 250. Good luck diggin, oh i have several sites that i use to find old houses, i compare old maps, check out historicaerials . com . you will have to type it in google search, but you can see maps back to 1930 in some places. and compare them to modern maps.
@nuggetnoggin Thank you for that. Now I just need to convince my better hald to let me invest in a camera on top of all the other gear that I have already purchased!
