@juliaR94 Microsoft FSX running in BootCamp on an iMac.. :) Movies clipped with a screen capture app = Fraps, movie made with iMac, original soundtrack was Phantom Planet but I was pinched for using it so I open sourced the music I suppose. This is now a legacy flight as JAL no longer flies 744's from SFO to NRT/NRT to SFO, and in fact I hear they are phasing out their last 747 in Feb..

well if you start at active runway and don't touch the rudder you'll get a smooth takeoff

Avia has it right, took off RJAA to KSFO, it's my standard flight but I have been a bit out of practice for some time..

The song would be more appropriate if you flew from KSFO - RJAA. Also please note JAL does not fly PAX service out of KSFO on a 744, Try the T7..

That also looks like the default aircraft.. If it is, you might want to look into PMDG.

I agree on the song, it used to be California Here We Come but I was pinched for using it.

Also, Japan Air for years have flown the 747's for JL1/2 in and out of KSFO. Only in 2008 did they switch over to 772W/Q, I am pretty sure it was ~ September. Imagine my surprise as a regular traveler on that route...

PMDG is fine - but I prefer the price point for Wilco and my most recent one Captain SIM 767 amazing. Thanks for the tips?

LOL. You are correct of course. It wasn't until after I posted the comment that I relised how old the video was. Just this month JAL stopped 744 service to KLAX.. How sad..)

PMDG might cost a bit much, but it really is an impressive aircraft, and well worth the money.

I prefer it over Wilco's aircraft (The LD767 is great, but I would prefer to have a functional FMC in the VC, without having to bring up a seperate window.)

I wish someone would make a decent T7 though!

There are 2 things wrong you did with your landing: You flared way too much before you landed, and you were not centered on the runway. But other than that it was a good flight!
