Is there anyway on God's Earth to play Balloon Fight or Balloon Kid (or both) on the Nintendo DS? If not they should make a Balloon Fight DS which includes both for the NDS. Cool idea, no?

@brnleague99 I suppose you could play both via emulation on your DS with something like an R4 or similar device. Or you could buy the Japanese exclusive Club Nintendo version of Balloon Fight for the DS that stars Tingle of the Zelda series.

Sadly the DSi has no "Virutal console" of tis own which would be an excellent additon to hte console..looks like they are saving this feature for 3Ds which totally sucks...because ninny want more money for their new console...

IDK if she has one, but Nicole, you really should have your own show on Retroware TV, youre very informative as Ben, and your Donkey Kong collab was awesome. Maybe you have a show and it isnt on retroware *If that is the case, someone lead me that direction* but honestly, give her her own show!

I helped build up the Wikipedia article about this game, with a little help from FryGuy64 and a few others from Nintendo Database.

The main reason why Balloon Kid did not catch much attention is the same reason why most other Game Boy games didn't. Most gamers thought the monocrome screen of the original Game Boy stayed uncomfortable, until the Game Boy Pocket and especially later ones; however, they still didn't help popularize the Game Boy era, due to home consoles being more powerful.

I LOVE Balloon Fight... it's one of the few NES games that I pop in on a regular basis, due to the fact that most other NES games I enjoy have been ported to other systems. Balloon Kid took everything I liked about Balloon Fight and ramped up the awesome factor. Highly recommended!

i absolutely love this game, i got it for Christmas of 1990. Everything is perfect from the graphics, to the music, the character design, the game play and even the instruction booklet! Highly recommended! I've never been able to beat it though!!! I love the soundtrack. Thanks for the Japanese release info, i never knew.
