@TheVerisimilitude it's actually taken from a very old trumpet song (i think from the 1920's) and the Imperial March adopted the melody. This is the same melody but adopted from the old song, not the Imperial March.

I always thought this song was written from a gay man's perspective...written to a man who's gay undercover...though when sings about "maybe it's in your genes" that would indicate being written by a woman whose lover impregnated and abandoned her [as in the official video for this song]. but whatever - if you're pissed off at your lover, this song works.
