any training tips? i used to have a jardine parrot but she was very aggressive, so i'm interested in how to train a bird to be affectionate.

@justinasparx . just be nice to your bird and reward it for good behaviour. tell it "good..boy or girl". pheonix responds really well to "good boy" and enjoys the attention. pick a treat your bird really likes.. pheonix likes sunflower seeds and they're fine for conures to eat. all depends on the personaliy as well, and the type of conure.. i find green cheeked conures aren't as friendly.. but my sun conure knows what he wants and can be aggressive to strangers

commetor3.. use and signals with the command word because birds respond well to them. i say "wave" and wave my fingers.. look on google and you can find step-by-step intructions on each trick. a good tip is to teach your bird to wave with the same hand every time. that way it won't get as confused between shake and wave

no we didn't. we named this one ourselves.. (note the wrong spelling oh phoenix we use now)

A 6 month old Sun Conure has green wings, how old was this guy at the time of filming? Maybe 12-14 months? Suns have thier full colors at 18 months, and he's not far from it.

he loves food and responds really well to it so i just picked out sunflower seeds and got him to follow them around until he got the hang of it.

in the video im just rewarding him with affection.. he doesnt always want food for a reward just attention.
