for fuck sake... why aren't they releasing this on Xbox? would be much more fun and profitable for them to release on the 2 platforms, and lets me and other EVE players connect with our console friends. I have an Xbox, and if this would be released on the Xbox i guarantee it would outsell many games if they just said that it connects PS3, Xbox 360 and PC users. half of my mates have PS3, the rest have Xbox, we want to play together and this is a FPS... would be all round good if it was on Xbox.

@o0Steward0o i think Microsoft would have to allow it and usually games that would link cross platform games aren't really liked by companies they want to control within their domain, and i am sure monitoring it for exploiting, hacking and w/e would be alot harder if you added cross platforms....i'd like to see it but the big issue i see is you'd have to get both Sony and Microsoft to agree on it and i am sure that is a pain in the ass

I like the concept of this being on console and EVE being on PC. In real life there would be limited interaction between the mercenaries and the corporations as there will be in the EVE universe because the two games are on different platforms.

@EvilDalek1337 true...interaction is limited....however from what i seen / read basically Eve players will battle in space for air control meanwhile Ps3 Mercs will face off on the planets surface and winning the planet directly affects the Eve universe by resources they have and money hence making the alliance who hired you stronger...if you lose the money and resources you spent in the campaign are lost...i think it is VERY close to realistic online war in that aspect.

@JohnIsUber247 The reason I agree is because it adds balance in my opinion. It wouldn't be balanced if people who play eve on the PC play dust on the PC too, even though it's from the same people. If there was a dust player for every person in an alliance who controlled 0.0, the one with larger numbers would probably ass kick on a PC, not counting weather or not they know how to fps super well. It gets out to different groups, and adds more flavor and variety.

@SilentMarineSniper I concur, since it's on the ps3, those 1st person shooter jockeys and haters will have to work harder for dust. In my opinion, a controller makes it more difficult, and I'm glad it does honestly. I like things difficult, unless its just stupid. Difficulty adds strategy. It's not strategic if somebody in orbit is flying a spaceship while being a fighter on the planet, thats not logical.

But it would be sweet, I'd do some ass kicking if it was for a pc.

@SilentMarineSniper They probably realize it wouldn't be fair and only allow an orbital strike within a certain set of rules, CCP doesn't mess anything up for anybody, except removing station spinning, and alot more add-ons to their game :P

And maybe a bit of lag, (or lots if in mass fleets).
