What are you basing her intelligence on? You like her probably because of her singing. It is clear from this interview, and other appearances such as on Never Mind the Buzzcocks that she is generally not very witty or interesting. Russel Brand on the other hand, is always witty and entertaining.

Thing is though, on the radio shes great. her radio interviews are really very funny :) I think she just gets a bit self concious on tv. I dont just like her for her music-I think she appears to be a genuinely nice person too. And if you read her lyrics, there is definitely some base intelligence in there.
