Definately an amazing peice of work, and i like what you said about Eternal Nightmare! Both those albums don't get as much attention as they need to. Ever heard of Morbid Saint? Check out Spectrum of Death, fucking BRUTAL! Some others i can think of off the top of my head: Tankard: Chemical Invasion, Sadus: illusions (borderline death metal), Onslaught: The Force, Flotsam & Jetsam: Doomsday for the Deciever, and if you're into Death Metal, Morbid Angel: Altars of Madness. Dark Angel`s Darkness Descends is a great record but never better than Kreators first 2 albums. Dark Angel is awsomely brutal and fast too so they are really killer

Terrorizer magazine did a whole "Top 50 Thrash Metal Albums of All Time" sadly to say, "Darkness" scored number 20, it was soo cliche because the top ten were the usual albums that stereotype thrash (Ride the Lightning, Bonded by Blood, Beneath the Remains, and number one was infact, Reign in Blood) not that give shit to any of those albums, I just wished they'd make a better top ten, aside from this, I own Darkness, and it is my favorite thrash album, Seven Churches is a close second :]

There are no absolutes when referring to Metal.You have all sorts of killer bands and albums that will effect the next genre and so-forth.Darkness Decends is definetly one of the best albums that came out in the 80s but again there are too many to pick the best.I think the whole lot of them made what metal is and each had that one super killer album that will stay high in the ranks in music forever!
